Tangerine Touch: Enhancement Mod

Description
Tangerine Touch

This is an enhancement for the base game and workshop downloaded custom stories that improves on some of the graphical aspects of the game, such as:

  • Redesigned Lantern Lighting
  • Amnesia: Rebirth Styled Crosshairs
  • Improved Controller Prompts for Controller Users
  • Improved and resized fonts from Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs
  • Fixed Pig Corpse ragdoll from Amnesia: A Machine for pigs.

Keep in mind this mod has the structure of a Full Conversion mod and therefore only compatible with the base game or regular, classic custom stories.

Customization and Locally Installed Custom Stories

The mod offers a level of customization for the user to choose from. You will need to access your local workshop folder in order to do this in the Workshop version of the mod.

Firstly, locate the mod folder by going to your Steam folder and locating the mod folder.

"..\steamapps\workshop\content\57300\3062497970"

Customization

From the mod folder you will find a "customization.zip" file with a series of presets that will either change your lantern or your button prompts.
Simply choose a category and extract the contents of any category of your liking unto the mod folder.

Ensure the folders are merged and files are replaced

Locally Installed Custom Stories

From the same Folder you will see a new "custom_stories" folder, if you plan to use custom stories downloaded from either ModDB or any other website, you need to put your custom stories there

ModDB Page

If you found the customization procedure difficult you should consider downloading the mod at:

lantern feels like a flashlight, kinda like the lamp in machine for pigs does except it has a bigger radius, cause every time i turn the camera i see the edges where the lights cuts out. all tho it dosent really effect the gameplay that much soo yeah.

Oh I didn't know it would function as a custom story. Thanks

Hello, after subscribing this mod should be listed in the Custom Story menu, you can select and load it from there. You'll know it's loaded if it reads "Running a modded game" on the top-right part of the screen

I have subscribed but nothing seems to have been changed, do I need to do anything?

Not sure what exactly you changed but, if your main game is not working correctly you can try and verify the integrity of game files. If it's the mod itself that has issues you can unsubscribe and subscribe again so they files are returned to the default.

I'd suggest not touching your main game and only using the files from the mod as the description says.

Thank you so much for your informative, helpful responses :) I'll install this now and give things a test drive. I'll let you know how it works!

Mind you, when using this mod, it will retain some of the properties of the original game, like the original night vision and movement speed. But the textures lighting, etc. will be of the remastered version. This is something I have no control over.

I'm testing it myself just to see if there's any issues and so far I haven't found anything that's game breaking.
You probably may see some graphical issues when opening the inventory but apart from that everything seems to be working OK.

This will only work if the installation of the Remastered mod replaces the original however, after that you're good to go.
