Advanced Bonemerge Tool

Description
An upgraded Bonemerge tool that lets you attach models, and then customize how they're attached with Source Filmmaker-like bone controls.

To use the tool, just right click on an entity you want to attach models to, and then left click on any other entity to attach it. From there, open the context menu (hold C) to edit the attached models with the tool's control panel.

Features:
  • Not limited to models that were made for each other - with this tool, you can attach any model to anything else and customize it to your liking. Maybe you want to put a TF2 hat on a character it was never meant for, and move and resize it so it fits perfectly on their head. Or maybe you're really ambitious, and want to make a whole new character by frankensteining together a dozen different models on just one ragdoll. The possibilities are endless!

  • All the bones on a merged model can be customized - each one can set which bone on the parent entity it follows (or not follow a bone at all), and edit its position, angles, and scale.

  • Advanced bone scaling features give even more possibilities. Unattached bones can scale with their parent bone, letting you resize whole parts of a model at once, even stretching and skewing them on one axis. Alternatively, you can set attached bones to not scale with the bone they're attached to, so you can shrink parts down and replace them with bonemerged models, like head swaps.

  • Right click any model in the tool's controls to unmerge it - you can easily unmerge a model, modify it with another tool, then remerge it, and be right back where you left off.

  • The Animated Props addon was built from the ground up to be compatible with all of this tool's features - you can attach animated props to other models, move and rotate bones while they're animating, or use the advanced bone scaling features on them to make all kinds of strange creations.

  • If you weld multiple props together, and then bonemerge one, all the other props will be merged along with it, in the same positions they were in when welded together.

  • Dupe and save compatible - save your creation once, and then load it at any time, just like you would with a ragdoll pose or contraption you built.

FAQ:
  • I'm using the Cosmetic Face Poser Fix, and it's making it hard to face pose a merged model, because the fix keeps changing some of its flexes back. How do I stop it?
In the "Utilities" menu (right click on a model in the tool's list), there's an option to disable the face poser fix for that specific model.

  • Is there a way to reset the values on the tool?
You can reset any slider by middle clicking it; this works with most tools in GMod.

Known Issues:
  • Not compatible with Advanced Duplicator or Advanced Duplicator 2, because they won't copy its custom BoneInfo data table.

  • Jigglebones do not work on attached models.

@Mecha Madness
The heavy robot arm picture was community made, but I did make the scout robot arm one. I made it by following the same "head hack" routine shown in the guide video, but for every bone in the arm. This is the process I remember off the top of my head:
1: Merge the robot model to the scout, with "merge matching bones by default" turned off
2: Shrink the robot model down to 0
3: For every bone in the scout's arm (including fingers), shrink it down to 0
4: For every bone in the robot's arm, attach it to the scout bone of the same name, and set "scale with target bone" to off
