Welcome to my Fishing guide for eiyuden chronichles here you will find a full list of fishing locations, what fish can be caught there, and the complete fish list from the in-game fish book. If I missed anything or you have something to add please let me know.

Fishing is very easy in Eiyuden Chronicle, you cast your line and wait for a fish to approach they may give 1 or two nibbles before eventually pulling the lure under the water. just wait for your lure to be fully pulled under, and then hit the action button and you will catch the fish it's that simple.

The challenge comes in catching every type for the achievement. To that end I suggest waiting till endgame when you have access to all spots, teleportation and the fishing section of your castle is fully upgraded so you have better chance of catching rare fish.

After that do two rounds in each spot in your Castle and you will have caught basically everything then just check the fish book in the castle Library and the fish list in this guide to see which if any fish you are missing. Save and teleport to the specific fishing spot where your missing fish can be located, if you don't catch the one you need load the save and try again.

If you are having trouble landing that one specific fish make sure you have the Hero's rod you get from upgrading your castle fishing area and make sure you are in the right place. Other than that there is nothing to be done, some Fish Seem very rare it took me over an hour to finally get a Meteor Carp so the only solution is persistence.

In order to start fishing you first need to progress the game past the tutorial until you are told to begin recruiting characters. After that point return to Arenside village in Grum County-North and talk to a character named Huang and say you love fishing, he will gift you the "Bamboo Rod".

Fishing spot 1 is in Grum County-North just west of Arenside Village.

Fishing spot 2 is located in Grum County just to the left of Altverden Village.

Fishing spot 3 is also located in Grum County halfway between Eltisweiss and Redthroat Ridge.

Fishing spot 4 is located in the Kyshiri Village area directly south of Kyshiri Village.

Fishing spot 5 is located in the same overland area as your Castle and is halfway between the greatwood and bounty hill.

Fishing spot 7 is located in the top left of the Palace area of Hishahn.

Fishing spot 9 is located inside of Seaside Cavern off a branching path to the north.

Fishing spot 10 is located on Little Sandfish Island in the middle of the Great Sandy Sea

Fishing spot 11 is on Big Sandfish Island at the far southeast of the Great Sandy Sea

Fishing spot 12 is on the far left side on the first floor of Yarnaan village.

Fishing spot 13 is on the overland area of Norristar southeast of Athrabalt

Fishing spot 14 is also on Norristar but at the far north just below Skriss village.

The final 5 Fishing spots are all located in you castle town and are dependent on you getting the appropriate upgrades to access them. They allegedly contain all the fish in the game between them, but I have personally never seen a Sawgar or Meteor Carp from any of them. If you are hunting a specific fish it's best to do that at their perspective spot out in the world.
