Description
DESCRIPTION
This mod contains weapons, armors, cosmetics and voicepacks for the Tau of the 40k Universe.

Hide Large Units on Avenger: Recommended if you want to use Battlesuits on MEC Troopers. Without this, you will have giant MEC troopers in their underlays wandering the halls of the Avenger.

Soldier Cosmetics
Cosmetic sets added for your standard Light, Medium and Heavy XCOM soldier armors.

XV22 Stealth Battlesuit* (Includes Shadowsun variant for females only; has heavy weapon slot)

SPARK and MEC Trooper Armors
Battlesuits, equipable by SPARKs and MEC troopers, have different stats from vanilla SPARK armors as well as size scaling.

Intermediate Battlesuits (gear suited for intermediate-sized Battlesuits can be used interchangeably among these Battlesuits)
XV8 Crisis Battlesuit (Comes in Crisis and Iridium variants)
Commander Battlesuit* (Comes in Coldstar and Enforcer variants)
XV95 Ghostkeel Battlesuit* (Has reduced detection radius. Powered tier only.)

Large Battlesuits (Large Battlesuits have a footprint of 2 tiles and will break concealment when they move. Recommended to use only gear with the same XV number.)
XV88 Broadside Battlesuit* (Available at Plated tier+)
XV104 Riptide Battlesuit* (Powered tier only)

*Indicates single build items. These items must be built separately and singly in the armory. Existing items will upgrade with next-level up schematics (For example, if you build a Plated Tier XV22 Stealth battlesuit, it will upgrade to Powered Tier if you purchase the Powered Tier armor schematic).

SPARK/MEC Trooper Weapons
All battlesuit weapons upgrade with SPARK rifle schematics. Battlesuit weapons are intended for use with battlesuit meshes. Regular sparks will not have the sockets to support the cosmetics for these weapons.

Some weapons are categorized as Heavy or Utility.

ALL BATTLESUITS
Heavy: Iridium Reinforcement: Increases armor by 1. Upgrades with armor schematics.

DRONE BEACONS
Drone beacons may be equipped by soldiers (utility slot) or SPARKs/MEC troopers (secondary slot). Activating the beacon calls in the drone, which will then act as an independent unit. Drones come in the 3 flavors described below.

Gun Drone: Armed with guns that inflict relatively small amounts of damage.
Shield Drone: Projects shields that protect other units. The shield drone cannot shield itself.
Grav Inhibitor: Generates a wave of energy to knock back and stun target units.

VOICES
Tau voicepacks are included for males and females. Note that most of these have only a very small number of lines, especially the ones from Battlesector (labeled (BS)).

Probably not.

Are Battlesuits compatible with other SPARK mods?
I don't know. IIRC the Kastelan gear from my Mechanicus mod had compatibility issues with Iridar's SPARK armory so it wouldn't surprise if similar issues occur here. Battlesuits did work with MEC troopers in my tests, however.

The file size is too big!
I don't disagree. If I ever figure out the cooking thing this mod will be on the short list.

Will you make the other vehicles (Piranha, Hammerhead, etc.) available for XCOM?
I have no plans to do so.

KNOWN ISSUES

If using battlesuits on Female MEC Troopers, weapon scaling will be off. Iridar’s Xskin can be used to rescale weapons so that they fit properly.

Some janky weight painting.

@MostlyHarmless By the way. The situation with cannons is not entirely clear to me. Firstly Ion Rifle. Why is it considered a machine gun if, according to canon, Pathfinders carried them. That is, those who played the role of reconnaissance and assistance in battle. I wanted to give them to Shinobi, but I couldn’t. I wish it had the same characteristics as an SMG, which gives a mobility bonus. And the second point is related to machine guns for Stealth Battlesuits. In theory, they can only be worn in an appropriate combat suit. That is, it would be nice if, when putting on a stealth battlesuit, the opportunity to wear them opened up, but Burst Guns are accessible only to those who have access to Cannons. For the sake of authenticity, I had to discover the type of weapons for my classes. But I couldn't turn Ion Rifle into an SMG...

Hey, I hope you dont mind but some of the battlesuit weapons aren't working as intended because the flamethrower is in it's default skin instead of the Tau Battlesuit Skin, I hope you can fix that bug

Hello. I really liked how Tau is still not forgotten. I would like to ask you about how you can expand the Upgrade slots for all primary weapons that can initially be modified. I just wanted to be able to improve any weapon to the maximum.
Oh, and one more thing. Do you plan to add analogues of Tau technology for Reapers, Skirmishers and Templars?
