Description

After all the years William spent in Cassidy's hell, he learned a thing or two and was getting too close to winning for Cassidy's comfort. As a last ditch attempt Cassidy sends his soul to a new place; a unfamiliar environment full of strange sounds and smells.. and strange creatures.

Requirements

Q: I'm confused about the controls for Purple Guy's tainted form, and how the tainted works in general.
A: Purple Guy's tainted starts with the pocket active "Monitor". You will notice that pressing Q does not do anything because the monitor is not open. You have to press the Left Alt key to open the monitor. Pressing the Left Alt key while the monitor is open will change what option you have selected. Now, pressing Q will confirm your selection and repair the curse. To close the monitor you have to move to "EXIT" and select it with Q. When taking damage, his tainted will gain a random curse which will need to be repaired with the Monitor. He also has a random chance to gain a decrease in all stats which you also need to repair.

Q: What happened to Purple Guy's old tainted?
A: Purple Guy's old tainted was seen as boring and was replaced in favor of one that has a better gimmick.

Q: Why is "Mom's Knife Synergies!" by JamesB456 required?
A: Purple Guy starts with Mom's Knife as his main way of attacking. Adding these synergies makes the character better and more fun to play with.

Q: What should I do if I find a bug with the mod?
A: Either comment what the bug is, or send me a message on discord (thereszeropoint) with the bug.

Purple Guy and his Tainted form do not have any item unlocks or any costumes. It is planned but unlikely to add these in future updates.

I must say that after these patches and Springtrap buffs, I can say that he's enjoyable to play as. Also I found a bug that causes Springtrap's name not appear during the boss intro. Not sure about Purple Guy though.

Springtrap Changes-

Luck: 0 -> 3
Gave Springtrap smelted Old Capacitor to try to help charge the monitor. (Not having enough charges does not allow you to reboot anything.)

Misc. Changes-

Remade both player menu descriptions for William and Springtrap. (Gave items, added accurate stats.)

Known Bugs-

Selecting the "Reboot All" option does not reboot Springtrap's suit. Unknown why, but nobody uses "Reboot All" anyways.

Ok. Springtrap is getting some variety, which I like. But there's one more problem I'd like to point out with this rotten bunny. Your survival depends on finding batteries most of the time, because the monitor can't be recharged with completing rooms. The problem is that you have to pray to RNGesus that you find a battery at least once every 2 floors if you don't want to constantly be low on health and stats. What I suggest is giving Springtrap a smelted Old Capacitor. You probably won't agree with me though. I'm just giving a suggestion.

UPDATE:

Changed Springtrap's monitor from the drop button (Left Control by default), to Left Alt.

Springtrap Balances-
Health increased: 1 Red 2 Soul -> 2 Red (1 is Rotten) 1 Black
Speed: -0.3
Damage: +1.75
Range: +1.5
Fire Delay: +1

Hopefully this brings across the more sluggish playstyle I was invisioning for Springtrap. He IS a rotting corpse in a animatronic suit to be fair.

I never had any issue but can you please buff the starting stats of springtrap a bit? he is litterally isaac with downsides and without d6 like that guy said

he should be strong but for maintaining that strong start he should use energy and not get hit
this sounds like a better character
you can even just give him magic mushroom stat boost as a buff and it still wouldnt be better thn your typical maingame characters

The Monitor should open with whatever is your drop button. I will be changing it soon, but I hope this helps in the meantime.

This mod is great, sadly, I can't use the Monitor at all with Springtrap. Nothing happens.
I use an azerty keyboard and I've changed the default controls, this could be why. I tried with a controler but it doesn't work either.
