Duck
"Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack! Quack!"

Zombie ducks that appear in Conway Estate.

When they spot the player, they will quack to intimidate them, but they are harmless as they have no way to attack. If their quacking is annoying, you can shoot them, but you can also just walk past them and kill them by stepping on them.

The magic of the "Water Clock of Thoth" that covered Conway Estate has turned even these cute creatures into undead. Their eerie quacking still echoes through the hunting grounds to this day.
Hunter
"It's been a while since I've seen human prey!"

Zombies dressed as hunters.

Hunters roaming the grounds of Conway Estate will fire their hunting rifles at the player when they spot them. Bullets fired from medium to long distances have a high initial velocity and are difficult to avoid, so if you are attacked by multiple hunters, you will be forced into a tough fight. The safest strategy is to kill them with firearms as soon as you spot them.

Tess Conway, who was troubled by the wild ducks that often breed on the grounds, hired these hunters to exterminate them. Anything reflected in their cloudy eyes, which have turned them undead due to the magic of the "Water Clock of Thoth," can become a target.
Gardener
"Let's prune the garden trees!"

Zombie gardeners appear in the gardens of Conway Estate.

The gardeners usually patrol the grounds, but when they spot the player, they approach slowly and slash at the player with their pruning shears. Their attacks are monotonous, but they often appear in groups, so be careful not to be overwhelmed by their numbers.

The gardeners were hired to maintain the vast gardens of Conway Estate. The magical power of Thoth's Water Clock has turned them into undead and driven them crazy, so garden trees and humans may be the only targets they can mow.
Two Headed Dog
"Tally-Ho!"

A ferocious hound roaming the grounds of Conway Estate.

Looking like a fusion of two dogs, Two-Headed Dog approaches the player with swift movements and launches a powerful bite attack when it spots the player. Its attack algorithm is monotonous, but because its movements are quick and its target is small, it often finds itself at its mercy. Try to attack calmly.

The hounds were kept in the kennel as good friends to hunters. They have been transformed into a hideous figure by the influence of Thoth's Water Clock, and can truly be called the hounds of hell.
Wasp
"Buzz...buzz...buzz..."

A giant hornet.

Wasps usually float in the air, but when they spot the player, they will dive down and attack by stabbing them with their sharp, poisonous stingers. Wasps do not pose much of a threat on their own, but they often appear in swarms, so if you let your guard down, you will receive a painful blow.

The magic of the "Water Clock of Thoth" has amplified the natural ferocity of wasps, turning them into dangerous beings that indiscriminately target anyone who invades their territory.
Gangster
"Do you want to become a beehive? Like me?"

Zombie gangsters lurking all over Conway Estate.

Dressed like Prohibition-era gangsters, they fire their Tommy Guns (Thompson submachine guns) at the player. Although the power of a single shot from a Tommy Gun is not that great, these gangsters are still a threat, as they can take continuous damage and often appear in groups.

Smuggler Duncan turning the once peaceful Conway Estate into a stronghold for a moonshine gang. These undead gangsters will never show mercy to anyone who infringes on their territory.
Thug
"Yeah, I guess we should take this guy apart and carry him away, right?"

Zombie longshoremen.

The sturdy Thugs walk up to the player and attack by hitting them with their log-like arms. The threat of Thugs is their durability, so it takes many attacks to completely stop them. If Thugs appear with other creatures, they become even more threatening, so shoot them accurately from out of range to take them down.

These Thugs were working as cargo handlers at Conway Estate, which has become a moonshine hotbed. Even after becoming undead due to the "Water Clock of Thoth," their strength doesn't seem to have diminished.
Flying Head
"I definitely saw it. A severed head flying in the sky..."

A ghost that haunts Conway Estate.

The eerie flying head, resembling a bright red severed head, usually floats in the air, but when it spots the player, it charges forward with an eerie growl and attacks by spitting out red objects. The flying head's durability is not great, but it is still a threat due to its fast attack speed and the fact that it attacks from various directions.

This creepy creature, reminiscent of an Asian ghost story, may have been summoned by the magic of the "Water Clock of Thoth."
Clown
"Come here. They all float down here..."

A zombie dressed as a clown.

This clown, who is likely to be disliked by children, usually makes a silly noise and plays around, but when he sees the player, he approaches silently and attacks by strangling them. If you are attacked by the clown, you will be temporarily paralyzed, and the effect will last until you defeat him. Attack quickly to escape from the clown's evil clutches.

On the day of the "Thoth's Water Clock" demonstration, Tess Conway had a clown placed in her mansion for entertainment. It seems that the "Killing Joke" of these zombies, who were turned by the magic of the water clock, is still alive and well.
Chef
"Fresh meat!"

A chef who has turned into a zombie.

When the fat, obese chef spots the player, he will attack by throwing the kitchen knife stuck in his body. This throwing attack is surprisingly fast, so if you get close you will receive continuous damage from the knife, so be careful. He moves slowly, so try to kill him with an attack from out of range.

At Conway Estate, these chefs entertained the host and guests with pride. Even though they themselves have become like dead meat, the chefs' creative desire does not seem to have diminished.
Maid
"Please keep your room clean or else..."

A maid's corpse possessed by a ghost.

When the maid patrols the guest room of the Conway Estate spots the player, she will mutter "housekeeping" and approach and launch a quick punch attack. This punch has a fast attack speed, so you need to be careful because you will receive a lot of damage if you do not kill the maid immediately or put some distance between you.

Servants employed to maintain the Conway Estate, which boasts a vast number of rooms. To them, who continue to perform their duties faithfully even after they have died, any being that invades the grounds is nothing more than a foreign object that must be eliminated.
Diabolic Maid
"In the name of the devil, you are not permitted to soil the room."

A maid possessed by a demon.

The basic algorithm is the same as the maid above, but she sneaks up on you with quick movements, so be careful.
Roach
"Click...Click..."

A bipedal cockroach-like creature.

Roaches usually roam the Conway Estate, but if they spot a player, they will attack by spitting red mucus from their mouths in order to prey on them. Despite their weak appearance, they are highly durable, so try to attack safely from an out-of-range position.

The magical power of "Thoth's Water Clock" caused the cockroaches within the compound to undergo rapid evolution, turning them into dangerous predators.
Specter
"He'll haunt you until you give up..."

A ghost that steals souls.

The Specter floats through the air and when it spots the player, it approaches with an eerie growl and attacks by scratching with its sharp claws. As a ghost, the Specter can move freely from the ground to high places, so it is very difficult to escape from this being. If you shoot it before it gets close, it should not be much of a threat.

The Specter, with its terrifying appearance, is a type of ghost summoned by the "Water Clock of Thoth" and lies in wait to prey on its victims in gloomy places such as mausoleums, caves, and graveyards.
Scarab
"It's a lucky charm in Egypt, but it's still a harmful dung beetle."

A giant dung beetle creature.

The scarab flies through the air with its harsh buzzing wings and attacks the player with dangerous body attacks. Its quick movements make it difficult to hit, so it's a good idea to pull it close and then shoot it down.

The scarab was worshiped as the incarnation of a god in ancient Egypt. Summoned by the magical powers of Thoth's Water Clock, these beetles are released throughout the Conway Estate to destroy unbelievers who defy the evil god they worship.
Prohibitionist
"Drinking is an act of rebellion against God. I will punish you!"

An anti-alcohol advocate possessed by a ghost.

When the Prohibitionist, dressed in conservative attire, finds the player, She will scream "Oh my God!" and throw a bottle at the player. The bottle is easy to avoid, but since the attack pace is fast, it will be a tough fight if multiple Prohibitionists appear. Move around the area to avoid the bottles and steadily kill them.

The Prohibitionists were ardent supporters of the infamous Prohibition Act (1920-1933), and were centered around strict Protestant women's groups. Initially a moderate prohibitionist, their activities became more radical, giving rise to violent activists such as Carrie Nation (1846-1911) (it is unclear why the Prohibitionists are roaming the Conway Estate).
Bat
"That's a pretty big bat..."

A gigantic bat.

Normally hiding in dark places, bats will approach and bite the player when they spot them. They are small and difficult to target, and they appear in swarms, so they are not to be underestimated.

The bats, driven mad by the magic of Thoth's Water Clock, continue to wait for their victims in the darkness of the Conway Estate.
Cloud demon
"I swear, that smoke looks like a human face..."

A demon disguised as a cloud

At first glance, the Cloud demon looks like nothing more than smoke, but when it spots the player, it will silently sneak up on them and shower them with powerful electric shocks. It is difficult to see because it is transparent, but it only reveals its true nature at the moment of attack, so aim for that moment to attack.

The Cloud demon lurks in dark places, waiting for its victims. Perhaps they are also a type of demon summoned by the "Water Clock of Thoth".
Skeleton
"Crack...crack..."

A skeletal creature given life.

These skeletons, which resemble skeletal models, are usually docile, but when they spot the player, they will attack by hurling fireballs from their hands. Contrary to their frail appearance, they are highly durable and tend to appear in groups, making them an entity that should never be underestimated.

The skeletons are resurrected by the magic of "Thoth's Water Clock." Their appearance wandering around graveyards and mausoleums.
Crawler
"Hmm, that smells like a cesspit!"

A giant slimy monster that lives in the Conway Estates sewers.

The crawler writhes while making unpleasant burp-like sounds, and when it spots the player, it rolls around and attacks by firing light bullets. Fighting crawlers in the sewers with limited visibility is tough, but if you steadily defeat them one by one, you will be able to gain the upper hand.

The crawlers are like lumps of filth born from the magic of the "Water Clock of Thoth". In the darkness of the sewers, they continue to wait for prey today.
Anubis
"I will take your soul to the underworld. You will receive the punishment you deserve."

Anubis is the god of the underworld in Egyptian mythology.

Anubis, a masked jackal, usually stays in place, but when he spots the player, he will attack by spitting flames from his mouth. The algorithm is the same as for the Flying Head mentioned above, so try to attack it using the same countermeasures.

Anubis, summoned by Thoth's Water Clock, continues to patrol the Conway Estate, transporting human souls to the underworld.
Avatar of Seth
"Your soul belongs to me, Mortal!"

Seth, the dark god possessing Duncan DeVries.

When the player approaches "Thoth's Water Clock" enshrined in the secret temple in the attic of the Conway Estate, the Avatar of Set, who guards the water clock, will appear and attack. He attacks by emitting powerful electric shocks from his hands and by hitting with his staff, both of which deal powerful damage. Also, the Avatar of Set is immortal, and will disappear after being dealt a certain amount of damage, but will reappear within the area after a certain amount of time.

In order to defeat the Avatar of Seth, who is immune to all attacks, the source of his power, the "Water Clock of Thoth," must be destroyed, but the water clock itself is protected by the power of the "fake water clocks" placed throughout the Conway Estate (inside doors sealed by vessels). A tough battle is expected as you explore the Conway Estate while avoiding the pursuit of the Avatar of Seth, who appears everywhere, but if you destroy all the fake water clocks and destroy the main body of the temple, you can defeat the Avatar of Seth (in a cut scene).

Duncan DeVries, a smuggler who was in love with Tess Conway, the mistress of the mansion, stabbed Tess with a dagger after learning that he was actually just a way for Tess to kill time. Tess, who was on the verge of death, used Egyptian secret arts to wish that Duncan be cursed by the dark god Seth for eternity. Tess' wish was fulfilled, and Duncan became a pitiful being who could not die and wandered the Conway Estate.
The Water Clock of Thoth
"In those days people will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, but death will flee from them. (Revelation 9:6-15)"

The Water Clock of Thoth, the Egyptian god of time.

The Water Clock, the source of the tragedy that occurred at the Conway Estate, is enshrined in a temple built in the attic of the mansion. The Avatar of Set, mentioned above, protects this Water Clock, and destroying the main body will cause the Water Clock to lose its power.

The "Thoth's Water Clock" is said to grant eternal life to its owner, but the benefit of this artifact was to transform all beings in the Conway Estate into undead beings such as zombies and ghosts. It remains unclear until the end whether this power was a malfunction caused by a failed ritual or an inherent ability of the water clock.
Tess Conway
"I will allow you to live on this island that I rule. Forever..."

Tess Conway, resurrected as the goddess Isis. The final boss of this game.

After a cut scene that is inserted when you destroy "Thoth's Water Clock", the source of all evil, the player will fight Tess Conway, who has been resurrected as a goddess. Tess's attack methods are to shoot light bullets and to summon flying heads. If you focus on fighting Tess alone, you will be surrounded by countless flying heads that have multiplied before you know it, so try to fight in a balanced way by defeating the summoned monsters while attacking Tess. Tess is very durable because she is the final boss, but you can defeat her by avoiding her attacks and using a high-powered weapon, so try to fight patiently.

The ghost of Tess asks the player for help in collecting the "vessels" containing her body that have been scattered throughout Conway Estate. Her goal, however, is to reconstruct her dismembered body and return to this world as a god, just like Osiris in Egyptian mythology.

With the "vessels" gathered and the nuisance Duncan and the dark god Seth eliminated, Tess, who became the goddess Isis, turned the Conway Estate into an underworld where the living were not allowed to live, and the As a reward for their hard work, players will also try to add them to the population.

The prohibitionist is actually saying "Filthy bootlegger!" when she is throwing bottles at you.
