Crusaders - A Better Rewards and Treasure Mod

Better Rewards and Treasure Collection

Description
Gives you enchanted heavy armor and shields, and enchanted one-handed weapons and bows as loot and payment for quests!
So you're a crusader who always wears heavy armor and wields one-handed weapons and shields. You slay a dragon for a jarl. What does he give you as a reward? A enchanted suit of light armor! Seriously, Jarl? Do I look like I'd wear this? Well, this mod should keep that from happening.

Now when you receive armor and weapons as rewards, they will be heavy armor, shields and one-handed weapons, or sometimes bows. In addition, when you loot chests after killing a dragon, giant, draugr death lord, or other boss, the battle will be worth it. For the weapons found will be one-handed or sometimes bows, and the armor will be heavy armor or shields. The same will be true for enchanted armor and weapons looted or rewarded to you: They will be enchanted heavy armor or shields and enchanted one-handed weapons, or sometimes bows.

But wait! There's more: The gold rewarded for completing quests is now increased by 20%! For example, if you would normally be paid 250 gold for completing a quest, you will now be paid 300 gold. It's a little bonus for your hard work, because you're worth it!

The mod does NOT change the weapons used and armor worn by NPCs. It just changes those found in the chests they guard. It also doesn't change armor and weapons sold by merchants and fences. It's a simple mod, but one I find useful. I hope you'll like it too! If you do, please consider rating it. If you have any questions about the mod, please ask. If you would like mods made for other classes, please let me know. Other mods in this collection are here:

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q. What will the mod do for me?
A. It will make it far more likely that your crusader character will get the armor and weapons he or she needs.

Q. What armor will the mod give me?
A. Enchanted and unenchanted heavy armor, and enchanted or unenchanted heavy shields.

Q. What weapons will the mod give me?
A. Enchanted and unenchanted one-handed war axes, swords, maces and sometimes bows.

Q. How will I get the armor and weapons?
A. You'll receive them as rewards given for completing quests and treasure looted from chests during quests.

Q. What armor and weapons will I not receive as rewards and not find as loot?
A. Enchanted and unenchanted light armor, light shields and two-handed war hammers, great swords and battle axes.

Q. Will the armor and weapons in shops change too?
A. No, the enchanted items sold by shopkeepers, blacksmiths and vendors will remain the same.

Q. What about the enchanted items received during Daedic quests?
A. These remain the same.

Q. What about other special enchanted items?
A. Named armor and weapons also remain unchanged.

Q. Why am I still finding some light armor and two-handed weapons in chests?
A. If you've already started a quest, the game might have already filled the chest. The chests for new quests should have the more useful armor and weapons.

Q. What will happen if I unsubscribe?
A. The rewards and loot for new quests will return to normal. You'll get more light armor and two-handed weapons.

So if you are subscribed to other BRAT mods that change loot and rewards, you should make sure this mod is last (at the bottom) of the load order in Skyrim. Changing the load order is easy. Just do this:
  1. When you start Skyrim, don't select Play right away.
  2. Wait for the Skyrim splash screen to display the message that all mods updated.
  3. Select Data Files.
  4. Select this mod.
  5. Use the down arrow button to move it to the bottom of the list of mods.
  6. Make sure it still has a checkmark next to it.
  7. Select OK and Play.

The game should now use the changes to rewards and treasure of the mod you moved to the bottom of the list. Good fighting!
