Description
Gurzil is a character that turns gridentities (Walls, Rocks, Vases, Skulls, Poop and Polyps of the womb) into turrets. There are limits tho:
* He can only have 2 turrets of each kind at the same time on the same room. Items that add more tears increase this limit (Ex: Mutant spider increases the limit up to 4)
* Look out for his Mana Bar! (Custom resource, below the hearts)
* If the mana bar ins empty or you use a turret without having the mana to spawn them....HP WILL BE USED INSTEAD!

If you dont like mana, you can try "the training of Gurzil" challenge or just hold O right when you start a run till you hear the "happy sound".


This character was originally made for AB+ and is designed around AB+. It has been made compatible with repentance but dont expect crazy stuff regarding rep synergies and stuff like that, it was just ported for preservation sake.

DISCLAIMER: Gurzil is a challenge-like character that can be frustrating until you learn all his tricks and mana managment. If you are up for a challenge try it out!, it has been thumbed down A LOT but it's still quite difficult, if you rather play a more chill or fast-peaced character, this one wont be an enjoyable experience for you.

Controls
* Right click on stuff to turn into turret. You can also rightclick on existing 4way turrets to change their firing mode.
* Left click to remove last turret (you dont get the mana back tho!)

Active Item
Once activated it will make it so Rock Turrets can be summoned on the floor (even if there is no rocks there!). Also, reduces the cost of Rock turrets to .5 (special "on floor" rock turrets still cost 1).
Gurzil is very dependant on his Active item, so think twice before you trade it in.

The turrets you can summon are as follows
- Wall Turret (1 mana): a wall crawler turret that follows the cursor and fires 1 tear at a time.
- Rock Tower (1 mana): static turret that fires in 4 directions. It has 2 firemodes than can be switched by clicking on the turret.
- Fire Pulse (.5 mana): spawns 4 pulsating fires at short range that do 1.5 tear damage. The range is determined by how slow your tearrate is, the slower the further away the fire thingies will go!
- Vase turret (.5 mana): spawns up to 2 blue spiders at a time. Only works if the room is not cleared!*
- Mush Farter(.5 mana): farts on an interval based on your tear rate.
- Poo Hive(.5 mana): spawns up to 2 flies at a time. Only works if the room is not cleared!*
- Skull Turret(.5 mana): files 3 tears in 2 directions, alternating between top and bottom.
- Polyp Turret(.5 mana): fires into all directions at once, only available at the womb tho!.
- TNTurret (.5 mana): explodes on an interval based off your tearrate. The explosion type is determined by your bombs.
- Spike extension(.5 mana): spawns 4 spikes that go in-and-out based on your tearrate and deal damage based on your tear damage. They damage you too, so care!

* This condition has been put in place to prevent "hanging around collecting spiders/flies"

Mana Regen
This is the "tweakest" point of Gurzil, the fine line between "this guy is Anti-fun/Too hard" and "This guy is OP as Balls", so I'll keep an eye on this one. Know, if you arent aware already, that I always will go on the harder route rather than the OP one.
- Room clear = 1.25 mana.
- 2x2 Room clear = 2 mana.
- L shaped Room clear = 2 mana.
- Per Floor: when you start a new floor, if your mana is below 2.5, it gets set to 2.5.

TIPS!
- Be resourcefull, dont waste turrets, use your active with care, take a while to think where you'll place them in a room! (specially in big ones)
- On large rooms, look out for Poop and Vases, they are cheaper and cove a lot of ground.
- The Poop is an awesome item on Gurzil, way better than his starting active.
- The Vase, Mushroom, Skull and Polyps are cool turrets BUT they can hurt you on spawn if you are too close!
- Most familiars are useless for Gurzil.

Greed Mode
Theres a set of specific rules for greed mode on Gurzil....the main changes are:
- You start with 5 mana instead of 3.
- Your mana gets reset to 5 each floor.
- You dont regen mana per room clear (you got 5 per floor, thats it).

It's a more "easygoing" thingy compared to normal runs, overall.

Broken Synergies (todolist-esque)
-Tractor Beam: it works, but in a weird way....not the way you expect it to work.
- Monstros lung
- Chocomilk
- Epic Fetus
- Leaf Thing: You just cant die with this on.

- Will all your characters be hard?
Yes. Some will be harder than other tho but I want them to be hard.
- Does range/dmg/tearrate affect the turrets?
Yes
- Can you remove the mana bar? Why am I taking damage randomly?
No, but you can play a manaless version by holding "O" at the start of a run (this is real, im not trolling).
You ran out of mana and are using hp instead. Try to always have at least 2 soulhearts, remember you can break tinted rocks with your turrets.
- Are there any synergies?
Yes, normal tear synergies work normally and there are a few custom ones...but nothing flashy on this department yet.
- Can I play with a gamepad?
No, sorry.
- Why does X gridentity doesnt have a turret?
My original plan was to give every gridentity a turret, maybe I add more turrets further on if people are interested.
- Is this as hard as your last character?
No, not even close...I would not say this one is easy tho, unless you break the run or get pretty op items.
- Why did you upload this, can you remove it from the workshop? (this one got asked a lot)
I mainly upload mods because I think others might enjoy them. Yes, this mod gave me a huge surprise, I'm completely fine with people disliking him, in fact I knew many will dislike him due to his slow overall pacing and distinct playstyle....but I never expected the amount of HATE this mod got. That being said, no, I'm not removing it.

Feedback
If you have any suggestions throw them at me, I want to know what people think about my mods. Truth is tho, I already went way too far from my original vision for Gurzil, mainly due to the absurd amount of complaints Ive been getting at earlier stages (and I took the easier way out on this one), so I'd say there will be no more mechanical changes for him. However, If you have any suggestions for turrets, synergies or stuff like that I'm all ears.

Crashes,Bugs,Annoyances?
Beofe reporting anything try this:
1- Disable all the other mods
2- Enable the Gurzil mod only
3- Close the game with the Gurzil mod enabled (only the gurzil mod)
4- Reopen the game and play
5- Does it crash?, If the answer is yes, proceed with the report.

Ok, no problem. I know that updating old mods is time-consuming and labor-intensive, and you really should do it at your own pace, I'm in no hurry.

Honestly, this character has just been "made to work in repentance", not much has been upgraded as you may have noticed. There are probably a lot of rep interactions that are either missing or are not as exciting as they could be. I may give this one a pass someday to add the missing stuff but no promises as I no longer agree with a lot of decisions I made for my older characters so I would need to change way too much to be happy adding things on top.

Hey man, Can you upgrade the item compatibility of this character? This character is very creative and interesting, but his item compatibility is a bit behind, for example, he doesn't work with Spirit Sword and C section, , and his interaction with mother's sword is not satisfactory. In addition, some new map elements in sewers and mausoleums could be added to the character's attacks.
