Description
Adds an ILLUSION spell that will analyze any NPC (ally, enemy, or neutral) for strengths, weaknesses, and skills.

Useful when managing follower equipment.
Cast it on an enemy to optimize your combat strategy or see if the enemy is "essential".
Cast it on a corpse to understand more about the life that has just been cut short.
Cast it on any civilian to discover the lie that they have been living in their choice of career profession.
Dogs and Mudcrabs love it, too!

The 'Empathy' spell...
...can be cast from a distance
...has no side effects
...makes no sound that any AI can hear
...is not noticed by its target.

When you first load this mod, it will check your save file to see if you already have this spell. If you do not have this spell, then you will see a popup as the spell gets added. This popup should only happen once.

MAKING SURE YOUR FOLLOWER IS BALANCED

If you have used mods that level your follower automatically after the 1.6 patch, then there is a good chance that your follower has more than twice the Health, Stamina, and Magicka that you do.

If you do not want to be severely outclassed by your followers, then do this...

PREPARE FOLLOWER FOR STAT RESET
1) Take off any equipment that alters her stats. Make sure she does not have any effects active (like OakFlesh)
2) open up the console and click on her to make her/him the active target of subsequent operations
3) Console Command: "setlevel 1000,0,1,81" to match your follower's level cap to your own level cap

SET HEALTH, STAMINA, and MAGICKA MODIFIERS TO ZERO
4) Console Command: “getavinfo health”
5) Note the number after “Perm:”If it is 0, then health needs no modification
6) Console Command: "modav health ???" where ??? is the negative value of “Perm”
7) Use “getavinfo health” to confirm that “Perm” is now set to 0 while preserving calculated health
8) Repeat steps 3-6 for 'stamina' and 'magicka' in the same way you did 'health'.

Why not detect ALL Spells and Perks on the Target?

I really wanted to do this, but...
Spells and Perks are individual data objects that can potentially be added by future mods.
Sadly, Bethesda's scripting API does not expose functionality to blindly iterate through all existing Spells and Perks on an "Actor".

As a result, I must explictly choose which Perks are worth listing in terms of things you may want to know about a follower.

To avoid any dilemma concerning future compatibility, I decided to make Spells a non-issue by NOT offering a Spell querying feature that would be time-consuming and impossible to fully support.

If i change a followers preferences in CS, lets say from heavy armor to light armor the mod does not recognize that. Also if you make them essential or protected, it don't recognize that ether?

Just another request for posting this on the nexus for Skyrim SE. Even if you do not want to port it to the new format you can just give permission and someone else will do that for you.

This mod was a real treasure and it would be great for the new SE. Thanks.

This mod is one of my Essentials, basically fnctions as an onboard wiki for NPCs. And upgrades your Illusion skills too!
