In order to offer our customers in the medical technology sector the best possible service at IPG Laser GmbH & CO. KG we have a very special area within our application center in Burbach: the MedTech Area. The first picture shows the MedTech Area with our (from right to left) SYS1500, the Versa Small Tube Cutter and our SYS3000. Both SYS workstations are high-precision laser cells that can be configured for a wide range of applications. Classic examples of applications that have already taken place here are the welding of titanium implants, welding of tantalum markers on nitinol stents or the contacting of electrical conductors on platinum-iridium pins. The Versa Small Tube Cutter in the middle is, as the name suggests, a cutting system and is equipped with a 300W single mode fiber laser and a femtosecond laser. I have attached pictures of examples. What you can't see in the pictures, but which is certainly also of great importance for our MedTech customers, are our rooms for tests with ultrashort pulse lasers. Here we have the opportunity to test all possible combinations for an application in the shortest possible time. This means that everything from long to short pulse durations through to long and short wavelengths is fully installed to ensure maximum flexibility. The overall package is rounded off by our excellent application engineers, who are a real blessing not only from a sales point of view but also for our customers, and a metallurgy laboratory that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of process analysis. If you have small parts that require high-precision 3D seam tracking, very accurate positioning, very complex image processing or simply very high process stability, let's talk.
