Bookings for the all-new Freedom 125 have commenced on the company’s website and across its dealership network with the deliveries set to begin in Maharashtra and Gujarat initially.

Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle: Engine

Coming to the most important part of the motorcycle, the CNG+Petrol 125 cc, air-cooled engine will make 9.5 hp and 9.7 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. Further, it features a combination of a 2-litre CNG tank placed underneath the seat along with a 2-litre petrol tank, claimed to deliver an impressive 330 km of range in total. The motorcycle can run on either mode, petrol or CNG, which can be toggled easily by using a switch. Interestingly, the filler cap is shared for both fuels so it won’t be a troublesome task to refuel this vehicle.

As per the company, the bike can cover up to 102 km per kilogram of CNG. Running on CNG, it cuts daily costs by 50 percent and can save owners up to Rs 75,000 in fuel costs over five years compared to a 125 cc petrol motorcycle.
