Talent search test for Class 9 students today
Ahmedabad: The annual talent search test for Class 9 students will be conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) in state-run schools on Thursday. A total of 1.03 lakh students from 4,116 schools registered for this examination, which will be conducted at 169 centres across the state.The assessment comprises two papers of 100 marks each, encompassing subjects such as Gujarati, English, social science, general knowledge, science, mathematics, and aptitude.Schools submitted student applications through the online portal between Nov 26 and Dec 10 last year. The board directed schools to ensure no other examinations are scheduled on the test day to enable students' participation in this scholarship examination, which aims to identify gifted Class 9 pupils.Students were instructed to provide precise bank details, including account holder name, account number, and branch particulars with IFSC code, as displayed in bank passbooks. The prize money for successful candidates whose names appear in the merit list will be transferred directly to their bank accounts.
