CHENNAI: Former VCK deputy general secretary Aadhav Arjuna is set to join hands with TVK leader
Vijay in a day or two. Voice of Commons, Arjuna’s consultancy firm, will be fully involved in developing TVK's election strategies for 2026. Arjuna is the son-in-law of lottery baron Santiago Martin.
Arjuna’s official induction into TVK is expected before the party's first anniversary on Feb 2. “He met Vijay on Wednesday. The meeting was cordial and productive. Vijay expressed confidence in Arjuna and a willingness to work together,” a source privy to the developments said.
Arjuna will work alongside Jhon Arokiasamy, a poll strategist, who has worked with Vijay since 2023, transforming Vijay's fan clubs into a robust party structure for the upcoming assembly election, and strategizing the actor's next move. Arokiasamy brings experience in political consulting, brand positioning, and campaign management to the TVK team. Following Arjuna’s induction, TVK sources say prominent figures are set to join the party in the coming months.
Meanwhile, VCK chief Thol Thirumavalavan extended wishes to Arjuna for his new journey. “We took disciplinary action and suspended him for six months. Any individual who faced such action in the VCK will remain patient and give an explanation to the leadership or the disciplinary action committee and place a request for reinstatement. But in the case of Aadhav Arjuna, he quit the party,” the VCK leader said.
Arjuna’s suspension stemmed from his comments at a media event in December about “monarchy rule” in the state. This statement sparked a huge debate and ultimately led to his suspension from the VCK.
