Chennai to witness power cuts from 9am to 2pm on Saturday

Residents in Ambattur, Anna Nagar, Ponneri, and Adyar faced a five-hour power outage on Saturday from 9am to 2pm due to maintenance. A Tangedco official promised early restoration if work concluded ahead of schedule.

CHENNAI: Power supply will be suspended in and around Ambattur, Anna Nagar, Ponneri and Adyar on Saturday from 9am to 2pm for maintenance work.
Ambattur: Sidco, Srinivasan Nagar, Industrial Estate and Ponniamman Nagar.
Anna Nagar: Shanti Colony, Periyakoodal, Bharathipuram, Gajalakshmi Colony, Shenoy Nagar West, 1st Main Road and West Park road.
Ponneri: Gummidipoondi Bazaar, GNT Road, Pethikuppam Railway Bridge, Balakrishnapuram, Ma Po Si Nagar, Verkadu, Rettambedu Main Road, Aathupakam, Enathimelpaakam, Soliambaakam, Thervazhi, Thambureddy Palayam, Appavaram, Mangavaram, Kuriviagaram.

Adyar: Besant Nagar 1st, 2nd and 3rd Main Road, 16th to 25th Cross street, CPWD quarters, 6th and 7th Avenue, Odaikuppam, Thidir Nagar.
Power supply will resume before 2 pm if the work is completed earlier than anticipated, said a Tangedco official.
