Panaji: Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has released the final date sheet for the Class X public exam, which will begin from March 1 and end on March 21. This year, the Class X exam will be held through 37 centres, with Colvale added as a new exam centre.
The board said the practical examinations will take place as per the schedule announced earlier.
Goa Board circular states that the examination begins on each day at 9.30am.
“The candidates are advised to remain present at their respective places of examination at 9am. Late arrival beyond half hour after the commencement of examination in each subject shall disqualify the candidate from appearing at the said examination. Candidate(s) shall not be allowed to leave the examination hall before 10.30am,” the circular reads.
The practical examinations are set to begin from Feb 1. “Under no circumstances, examinations shall be postponed even though any day is declared as a public holiday,” the board said.
Goa Board chairperson Bhagirath Shetye had announced last year that Class X and XII exam schedule will be advanced by around 28 days from 2025, due to rising temperatures as a result of global warming. Shetye had said that during the 2024 state board exams, there were cases of some students reporting uneasiness due to the heat.
All the examinations for students will be completed before March 31 from 2025, and all result declaration work will be completed by April-end, it had been announced.
