Panaji: The task force appointed to address issues of the renovated Kala Academy, on Saturday, said they are disappointed with the lack of progress on Kala Academy improvement work and want to meet chief minister Pramod Sawant.
“The task force committee was appointed to find out the problems, and we submitted a report. Rectification of the light and sound system and the construction needs to be done. These technical issues need to be addressed, but nothing has happened. Since the chief minister himself appointed the task force, we will meet him and raise the issues directly with him,” chairman of the task force Vijay Kenkre told reporters on Saturday.
The task force committee suggested that IIT Chennai be roped in to conduct a structural audit of Kala Academy.
The committee also said that no consultants or experts were involved in the repair and other work that was carried out at Kala Academy by govt.
