Rajasthan paper leak: Illegal structures of kingpin’s house demolished

JAIPUR: As part of a crackdown on cheating rackets in Rajasthan, authorities on Monday demolished illegal structures built by alleged paper leak "mastermind" Pankaj Bhambhu alias Unique on his house in Churu.
According to sources, Bhambhu, who is wanted in connection with the sub-inspector (SI) paper leak case, had allegedly constructed permanent structures on two plots in Poonia Colony area of Churu.
Investigations revealed that Bhambhu had concealed himself inside a school in Jaipur's Hasanpura area, where he 'discreetly cut open the envelopes containing SI question papers with a cutter and stole them before sealing the envelopes with tape'. SOG officials are currently conducting search operations for Bhambhu across multiple locations.
He is also under investigation for his alleged involvement in several paper leak cases, through which he accumulated significant wealth and acquired expensive phones and cars.
Bhambhu received a modest salary during his training period,and had recently passed the forest ranger examination. He was undergoing training in Alwar, and would arrive at the training centre in his luxury cars, raising suspicions about his ability to afford such expensive SUVs.
On February 17, Bhambhu abruptly applied for leave and departed the training centre, despite having been present there just two days prior. Sources suggest that he may have become aware of SOG's pursuit and fled, possibly leaving the country following the arrest of his associates, including Jagdish Bishnoi and others.
