Bhojpur youth shot dead by neighbours over love affair

Ara: A 21-year-old youth, Rohit Kumar, was shot dead near his house at Koilwar in Bhojpur district on Thursday. Rohit, son of one Dev Kumar Rai, was allegedly killed by his three neighbours over a dispute linked to a love affair.
Rohit was set to marry a girl from Bihta on April 30. His ‘tilak' ceremony was scheduled on April 24. The incident turned the family's joyous preparations into mourning.
Angered by the broad daylight murder, locals and family members created a ruckus at Ara Sadar Hospital, demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits.
Police arrested one accused, Avinash Kumar, within three hours. "The other two accused, Vikash Kumar and Neeraj Kumar, will be arrested soon. Raids are on," the Bhojpur SP's office said in a press statement. Police are still investigating the exact motive behind the murder.
