East Champaran, Khagaria ready for exams
Motihari/Khagaria: The district administrations of East Champaran and Khagaria have made special arrangements to ensure the BSEB Intermediate exams, starting Feb 1, are conducted fairly and without malpractice.
In East Champaran, 56,888 students will appear across 65 centres, while in Khagaria, 23,000 students will take the exams at 29 centres.
East Champaran DM Saurabh Jorwal has instructed centre superintendents to strictly follow BSEB guidelines. "Strict action will be taken against those indulging in or promoting malpractices," he warned. Similarly, Khagaria DM Amit Kumar Pandey said, "Magistrates on duty and centre superintendents will be held responsible for any untoward incident."
Security measures include the deployment of four static magistrates and police officers at each centre, along with patrolling teams monitoring multiple centres. In both districts, photocopy shops near exam centres will remain closed. Also, 38 flying squad officials have been assigned for surprise inspections.
CCTV cameras will be installed at all centres, and officials — including magistrates, police inspectors and flying squad members — will not be allowed to carry cellphones inside. Candidates will be thoroughly frisked and electronic devices such as mobile phones, Bluetooth, pagers and smartwatches are strictly prohibited.
Seat plans will be displayed at the main gates and notice boards of the centres. Authorities have assured that all necessary measures are in place to conduct the exams smoothly and fairly.
