Kalki Koechlin, who is currently engaged in her new Tamil project 'Nesippaya,' once discussed the trolling she and her partner faced for not being married. Kalki mentioned that it was a deliberate choice for them not to marry.
She and her partner, Guy Hershberg, welcomed their daughter Sappho in 2020. In a conversation, when asked about their decision, Kalki explained that she had already been married to director Anurag Kashyap, and her partner was not interested in marriage.
She shared with Mashable India, “Not being married…I was already divorced. He was like, ‘I’m not interested in marriage.’ So we just took a conscious decision not to marry but we were living together.”
Kalki and Guy welcomed their daughter in Goa and continue to reside there, although Kalki frequently travels to Mumbai for work. The 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' actress mentioned that she tries to keep her trips short to avoid being away from her daughter for too long.
