In an conversation with News18 Showsha, Vikram Bhatt responded to the news of 'Kasoor 2' for the first time, expressing his surprise at the sequel's development. He said, 'Kasoor sequel… I don’t understand what’s going on!'
The filmmaker noted that the original 'Kasoor' belongs to Mukesh Bhatt and noted that someone else is now making the sequel.

The filmmaker also revealed that he is ready to embark on a new chapter in his career, hinting at a return to the comedy genre 19 years after 'Deewane Huye Paagal'. He mentioned that while 'Bloody Ishq' was one of his last projects, he is now focused on breaking new ground and is looking forward to the future, which includes working on a comedy film.
