NEW DELHI: India's star batsman Virat Kohli arrived in Colombo on Monday ahead of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan airport staff and fans welcomed him warmly and took the opportunity to snap some photos with the celebrated cricketer.
Kohli, who retired from T20Is following India's victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup, will now focus on ODIs and Tests.
The rest of the Indian squad will join captain Rohit Sharma and the ODI players after the final T20I in Pallekele on July 30.
India's ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma has reached Colombo for the ODI series. Besides, Virat, Shreyas Iyer, Kuldeep Yadav, and Harshit Rana checked into the ITC Ratnadipa hotel in the Sri Lankan capital.
