NEW DELHI: A Pakistani journalist faced backlash on social media after posting photos of former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly and Pakistan's batsman Imam-ul-Haq, asking fans to choose the better player.
The comparison did not sit well with fans, who criticised the journalist for equating Ganguly, who played 113 Tests and 311 ODIs, amassing over 18,000 international runs, with Imam, who has yet to establish himself in international cricket.
The 28-year-old Imam has played 24 Tests, 72 ODIs, and 2 T20Is, with fewer than 5,000 international runs in his career.
