Women’s Premier League (WPL 2025): The Women’s Premier League, popularly known as the WPL, is all set to make a comeback this year with its third season. The women’s franchise T20 league, organised by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), will get underway on 14th February 2025, and the Final will be played on 15th March.
The first match of WPL 2025 will be played between Gujarat Giants and defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the BCA Stadium in Vadodara. The tournament will be played in four cities - Vadodara, Lucknow, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), led by Smriti Mandhana, are the defending WPL champions after lifting the trophy in the second season in 2024. Mumbai Indians, under Harmanpreet Kaur’s leadership, won the first edition of the WPL in 2023.

Women’s Premier League (WPL 2025): The 2025 WPL will comprise of five teams, just like the previous two seasons, namely: Mumbai Indians (MI), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Delhi Capitals (DC), Gujarat Giants (GG) and UP Warriorz (UPW).
