Philly fans are known for their fiery passion and intense energy, often making things tough for rival players and their supporters. But during the Eagles vs. Rams game, they showed a surprising side of themselves. Kelly Stafford, wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, couldn’t help but praise them for what she called their "best behavior."
In the latest episode of The Morning After podcast, Kelly shared her thoughts on the unexpected sportsmanship from the Eagles crowd. Despite the Rams losing 22-28, she noted how the Philly fans still took the time to compliment Matthew Stafford’s performance. Reflecting on her game-day experience, Kelly applauded the fans for their respectful and welcoming attitude—a rare twist in the narrative about Philly’s passionate fanbase.
“I don't know if they were, like, on their best behavior or, like, trying to just make sure that they weren't known as that, but everyone was very kind. Everyone's like ‘We're not all that bad. Are you okay? Can we help you in any way?’ And I was like, ‘Wow, this is really nice. Thank you so much!’” (via: Sportskeeda)
“And obviously, if we would have won that game, I think the exit would have been different. But when we were exiting, every fan was like, complimenting Matthew. And so we really, to be honest, didn't have any issues. So shout out to the Philly fans. I thought y'all were great,” Kelly further added.”
