Shane McMohan and Tony Khan discuss "possibilities moving forward"

Shane McMahon and Tony Khan met in Texas to discuss the possibility of Shane joining AEW. Despite no direct indicators of a move, rumors spread after Conrad Thompson mentioned Shane contacting AEW wrestlers. Given the ongoing WWE legal battle, Shane's appearance in AEW could affect both promotions. Currently, AEW has policies allowing cross-promotion participation.

Shane McMohan and Tony Khan recently met at the Arlington Airport in Texas to discuss the possibilities of Shane O Mac appearing in the AEW. While it’s something that would have been odd a few months ago, that does not seem to be the case at this point in time.
Corporate training aside, Shane has also trained as a wrestler and has put up some amazing matches over the past few years in the WWE.Although his last WWE appearance was marred due to an injury, it would be wrong to rule him out of the wrestling picture completely.

Is Shane McMohan coming to AEW?

Although there are no indicators of him making a move to the Jacksonville-based promotion just yet, it would be wrong to rule out the possibility of that happening completely. What fueled this rumor was the statements made by Conrad Thompson on Jim Ross’ podcast, where he said, “There was a friend of ours, I’ll say, I shouldn’t say their name. But he went out of his way to text me and say, ‘Hey, that’s not as crazy as you think. I know for sure that Shane McMahon has reached out to wrestlers on the AEW roster to at least hypothetically discuss the idea.”
He also added, “Now are we saying that’s going to happen? No. But we are saying it’s not that crazy of an idea.”
Considering that WWE is currently embroiled in a legal battle, and with AEW currently looking to secure TV deals, Shane appearing on the promotion could help them in many ways, but that might not look good for WWE at all.
AEW has had this open policy with other wrestling promotions where their wrestlers are allowed to compete at other promotions. So it’s not going to be a surprise if Tony extends the same courtesy to WWE wrestlers at this point in time. But it’s unlikely that something like that would happen.
However, it would be wrong to rule out Shane not being able to appear on AEW because that is something that could happen considering that Shane was the one to reach out to Tony and not the other way around.
