Empowering women program (First Aid Training): Building Community Capacity and Enhancing Health Security. HRO completed a women's training program within the project of “Strengthening the Resilience of Syrian Women and Girls and Host Communities in Northwest Syria” project. The program targeted 120 women and girls in Jisr Ash Shugur, Darkosh, and Kherbet Eljoz, enabling them to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, thereby contributing to saving lives and promoting health awareness within their communities. This training also boosts women's self-confidence and equips them with the necessary tools to protect their families and communities.  This project reflects our commitment to enhancing women's roles in the humanitarian response and achieving a safer and more cohesive. #Syria #program #women #training #SelfConfidence #project #humanitarian

Hope Revival Organization organized an exhibition showcasing the products created during their detergent-making training sessions at their center in Azaz. This initiative is part of the organization’s ongoing efforts to enhance the skills of targeted groups and economically empower them. The event was attended by a delegation from the local council, representatives from civil society organizations, as well as the trainees who participated in the workshops. The exhibition featured a wide range of handmade products, including soap and various household detergents, reflecting the significant progress the trainees made the trainees gained through the hands-on workshops. Attendees praised the quality of the products and highlighted the importance of such initiatives, which strengthen individuals’ abilities and create opportunities for self-sufficiency, employment, and entrepreneurship. The participants also emphasized the need to continue supporting these kinds of activities that contribute to local capacity building and skill development, especially in light of the current economic challenges. This exhibition represents a key step in promoting local production and supporting the community's economy by equipping individuals with the skills needed to enter the labor market with high-quality products.

September 10th marks the World Suicide Prevention Day. On this day, our teams in northwest Syria are Implementing several activities as part of a campaign titled 'Together for Life.' This is because suicide is a serious issue that is facing our community these days, with far-reaching consequences. Current estimates indicate that more than 700,000 suicides occurring annually worldwide, and we are aware that the suicide’ negative impacts extend to reach wider surrounding groups. Yaounde, #Cameroon: Centre for Advocacy in Gender Equality and Action for Development received the German Africa Award 2023 for their work with the 1st National Women’s Convention for Peace and their efforts promoting peaceful conflict resolution and dialogue for peace and reconciliation. 5. Idlib, #Syria: Hope Revival Organization (HRO) conducted awareness and empowerment activities for women and girls to promote mental health and wellness. HRO also gathered protection organizations and volunteer teams at a coordination meeting to identify protection gaps and develop effective solutions. 6. #Egypt: Centre For Egyptian Women Legal Assistance held a panel discussion on health and reproductive rights with civil society, education institutions, and the Ministry of Education, as well as a workshop on gender and governance with partner organizations and stakeholders from Giza and Qaloubiya governorates. 7. #Cameroon: Reach Out Cameroon participated in a capacity building workshop on engaging men and boys to promote #SRHR and #VAWG. Reach Out's #GBV mobile clinic held sensitization sessions and provided support to survivors of violence in hard-to-reach communities. 8. #Colombia: Corporación de Investigación y Acción Social y Económica - CIASE Director Rosa Emilia Salamanca took part in a panel on #FeministForeignPolicy in Latin America and the Caribbean, hosted by Mexican Feminist Foreign Policy Network.
