We’re excited to announce the expansion of our ground station network—the essential 'ears on the ground' for our #Connecta IoT Network and #Observa constellations. Currently, we operate three Plan-S-owned ground stations and get ground station services from four different locations. By 2025, we’re set to double our capacity, adding three new Plan-S ground stations across different continents and increasing our partner ground station points to eight. This enhanced network will significantly reduce latency and extend our coverage. We visited the Mersin Erdemli Campus to begin an exciting new project with the METU Institute of Marine Sciences. Through our Connecta IoT Network, we will enable data transmission to support marine biology, fisheries, and oceanography research at the Institute. This initiative will facilitate data collection from remote areas and allow for the direct monitoring of environmental processes without human intervention. Stay tuned for updates!
