Seaway7 has successfully completed the full EPIC cables scope on OW Ocean Winds UK Moray West Offshore Wind Farm. The cables team installed 118 km of 66kV inner-array cable connecting the 60 wind turbines to the two offshore substations (OSPs) and 15km of 66kV cable connecting the two OSPs.   This success is down to the hard work of everyone involved, especially to the Offshore Management Teams, the vessel crews and the project team.  Way to go! 👏

🌟 Seaway7 recently hosted an inspiring week-long Graduate Event in Zoetermeer, uniting 22 graduates from six locations and nine nationalities. This event marks the start of their exciting journey! 🌍💼🎯 The week featured engaging sessions on cultural diversity, transitioning from graduate to professional life, and risk perception, along with fun team-building activities. A highlight was visiting De Oude Bibliotheek Academy, where graduates built their own wind farm, gaining practical insights and honing skills like project management and team collaboration. 🌬️💡 Beyond learning, the offsite fostered personal connections and lasting friendships, creating a collaborative environment for future careers. 🤝💬 One graduate shared, “I really did have a great week, and it will definitely be a memory that I will hold on to for the rest of my life. A week full of networking has not only allowed me to get to know my colleagues better but I feel like I have managed to make new friends, that I will hopefully continue to work with for many years to come. It has given me a complete new perspective of work and life, and I truly am proud of myself to be a part of such an amazing company." Overall, the event was a resounding success, leaving participants with new knowledge, skills, and a supportive network. By combining Dong Fang Offshore 東方風能 (DFO)'s local resources in Taiwan with Seaway7's global project management and marine expertise, we successfully utilised the first local cable-lay vessel for a Taiwan wind farm. The vessel has safely delivered 23 cables for the Yunlin project, overcoming tough conditions like weather, currents, and shallow waters. WindEnergy Hamburg 2024: Key Takeaways from Seaway7 🌬️ As the WindEnergy Hamburg exhibition concludes today, we reflect on four incredibly productive days. Here are our top three takeaways: 1. Networking Opportunities: The exhibition brought together a high quality group of key stakeholders from the industry, ranging from government representatives and clients to key partners and suppliers. The chance to meet many people in just a few days was invaluable for discussing ongoing projects, fostering relationships and exploring new opportunities. 2. Market Realism: There appears to be growing realism in the market about expectations for growth and the requirements to initiate and complete projects predictably, with more practical perspectives on cost and timelines. While the wind energy sector is promising and expanding, true success will depend on creating solid project execution strategies through collaboration between developers and the supply chain to achieve consistent performance. 3. Collaborative Discussions: We engaged in valuable conversations with our clients, suppliers, and partners to explore the best ways to collaborate on resolving some of the technical and economic challenges facing our industry. We acknowledge that success in the offshore wind industry hinges on joint development.
