🌟 Highlights from SBAN's 7th Harambee Evening Last Friday, we hosted the 7th edition of Harambee Evening, marking our first event of the year! We were honoured to welcome three startups, each introducing innovative solutions on stage: ✅ ClickPesa – Founder Richard Lema presented how ClickPesa is transforming payments, lending and data services to support MFIs and SMEs in Tanzania. ✅ Ghala – Founder kalebu Gwalugano explained how Ghala is using AI-driven automation to help African SMEs sell their products and grow their businesses on WhatsApp. ✅ Gawapay – Founder Ruth Marro shared Gawapay’s unique approach to Tanzania’s rental payment system, which allows tenants to pay monthly while landlords receive the full annual rent upfront.  👏 Congratulations to all the founders who participated in this 7th edition! The 7th edition of the SBAN Harambee Evening was a resounding success! Three innovative startups—Ghala, Gawapay, and ClickPesa —took the stage to pitch their ideas and engage with a vibrant community. With over 60 attendees, the event culminated in a remarkable contribution of 1.4 million to the most convincing startup of the night, Ghala. The Netherlands Embassy was proud to be part of this inspiring evening and together with Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) | Partner in Sustainable Development, we remain committed to supporting the Harambee’s growth and expansion to more regions in Tanzania!
