On September 18, 2024, AmCham's Healthcare Steering Committee members met with Maryna Slobodnichenko, Deputy Minister of Health of Ukraine for European Integration. Participants received up-to-date information on the progress of Ukraine's European integration in healthcare, discussed the ways of business community’s active contribution to this process, and shared the obstacles and risks that companies are currently facing. AmCham Ukraine participated in the meeting with Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine – Minister of Justice of Ukraine, organized by the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. During the meeting, participants discussed the issue of involving representatives of business associations and national employers' organizations in working (negotiation) groups to prepare Ukraine's negotiation positions during negotiations with the European Union (EU) on the Agreement for Ukraine's accession to the EU under the relevant sections of the EU negotiating framework. The procedure of involvement was also discussed, including the selection criteria for the business community’s representatives, and the responsibilities of a business community’s member within the negotiation group.
