Might be the not advice but kind of umm idea to look from the different dimension that economy is working and the Ukraine could be the good place to to to run the business. So we should not avoid Ukraine from the business map of the world in the European. Hi and welcome everyone. We are delighted to have with us today on three days ago who is the country Director for Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Ukraine and Lithuania. And three, it is great to see you. How are you doing? Quite good. How are you, Angel? Yeah, we're we're hanging in there hanging in there. They're never done with all the challenges. And so the sun is shining so it's it's it's good to be in Kiev are Lisa. We're in over 860 days of this full scale invasion and tell us you know, we see phenomenal stories of resilience around tell us how you know how how are you doing How's the Hewlett Packard Enterprise how's the organization? What are you seeing and what. What are your colleagues saying to you? Yeah. Well, we are fully operating in Ukraine at the moment. Definitely the market is not so easy and it's the challenges, not only security challenges, but security for our customers. Business of our customers plunged. So we made a few rework actions. But we are fully operating, most of our customers are big enterprises and critical for Ukraine, not only economic but also for infrastructure. So we have one of the leader on Ukrainian IT market and globally and definitely in Ukraine. So that's important to have us stays operating all of these difficult to and a half years. And that's what we did actually. So currently the situation is very different to what we face at the beginning. It means the tasks we are running, challenges we have, and it's absolutely different what we had at the very beginning of the full invasion. Uh, but looks like we have to curb curb. It means we have to be adopted faster than ever. That's one of the biggest learning we have. So the dynamics in external environment and unbelievable. So that's. So thanks very responding that's never happened before that's. So if, if you say about the the differences and the challenges, I mean what if there's like 2-3 key differences, but what are they? Well, at the beginning of the the biggest portion of time tasks and efforts from us in the in the corporates, the from corporate in the headquarters, we're focusing on the people security of course. At the same time, we were running the business activity in the mode kind of a fire. Fighting mode because not of our all of our umm. Partners and suppliers were able to to work in the at least somehow operate some, some of them, for example logistics partners, we have a big spare parts stock here to support our customers. It's not quite quite significant inventory. In view of force it to replace by our own resources such type of the missing operations of our suppliers. Now what we see the operations are more or less stable and the challenges we have and kind of calls from the customers in the market we have is a different saying. For example, we have to stay resilient to the. Well, I would say not very optimal and in the perfect legislation regulation, customer state has a deferment of mobilization for example and things like that. So the threat to to to have a. To have impact to our forces, to our team is from mobilization I believe there is quite high and that's definitely one of the risk I see not only from us, but from the peers on the mark on the market and the colleagues from the business side. And that should I saw it in the reviewing of Amcham was a recent ones we had. So that's that's a common for everyone. But at the same time we need to support our customers and continue the business. The good thing here is that the corporate is definitely. Understanding the challenges the operating in and the budget, the targets and objectives we have, we are quite a quite realistic to the market situation. So that's in that sense the support from the corporations. Still here, but. You invironment, uh, is changing quite fast. As I said, that's might be the biggest, the biggest. You cannot be prepared for that. To make it short, you cannot be prepared. But funny thing is just when we're thinking what really surprised was us and the team that all the contingency plans and the things we run during the during the COVID time. Really work. Really works. So that help us a lot. So we knew what to do how the specific back office stuff should work in that in that new conditions. And the sales operations and everything. So that's what's help help us a lot. So that's definitely. So it might be the biggest finding or learning that. You and us should spend enough time to build the continuous real contingency plans. So it will help you to to be resilient to the challenges like that, like if you can call the full scale war of the challenges. Well, I think that that's something that many surprises we saw and I think, you know, as you say, the preparations we had with COVID and others. So but again, sort of finding is there's anything what one key learning that's managing an organization during. A full scale war. What What would you share with colleagues outside Ukraine? Oh. It's quite difficult to explain to the people outside of Ukraine the you can do the job even when you have a air rate each day or each hour. So that's. That that's, that's a lowering so that we can run the business and the business operating and the economy is still here. Customers are working. So and we are supporting our customers. So the state is working, we are supporting the state at the same time, which is also important. So it means it might be the not advice, but kind of umm, idea to look from the different dimension that economy is working and the Ukraine could be the good place to to to run the business. So we should not avoid Ukraine from the business map that was involved in the European. Well, brilliant. I think that that's the that's the nail on the head. And I think that's what we're hearing across our members. You know, Ukraine is open for business and you know, coming from. HP and Enterprise, I think you know what you're doing, continuing to do the work here and your your, your team and your leadership. So we're very grateful for that. And so wishing you all the best. We'll let you be the judge of that. 🔹 Starting as a small-circle "transatlantic family meeting" in 1963, matters of defense policy were at the heart of our agenda since the beginning. 🔄 From 1999 onwards, the invitation circle expanded eastward, adapting to a post-Cold War world order. 🔄 In response to the rapidly changing global security landscape of the 21st century, we've broadened our agenda to include a more comprehensive understanding of security that looks at sustainability, technology, and that puts people at the center. 🔄 With global challenges requiring global answers, we have been trying to include more actors from the Global South in the conversation — a topic that is very important to our Chairman Christoph Heusgen. 🗣️ What would you say: Has our concept stood the test of time?
