Yesterday, Nick and Viktoria O. joined the #UkraineSupportFund Summit at Google Campus CEE. It was an inspiring gathering of Ukrainian founders and investors interested in the region, all united to exchange ideas, foster partnerships, and ultimately drive rapid economic growth in Ukraine and beyond. Our Founder, Nick Oseyko had the pleasure of attending the Emerging Founders: Global Fundraising event at Google Campus in Warsaw. The event featured an insightful panel discussion with accomplished founders and VC representatives, who shared their experiences and pieces of advice for scaling startups and fundraising globally. The panel's thought-provoking discussions on fundraising challenges in the current economic environment sparked engaging conversations afterward. 🙌 Giving back to the ecosystem: Experience exchange on attracting grant funding Our Founder, Nick Oseyko, took part as a speaker at the event for Proposal Writing Bootcamp by Seeds of Bravery. Today’s session brought together 17 ambitious startups, that are exploring EU grant opportunities, including those under the Horizon Europe program. Nick joined a discussion panel on dos and don’ts for successful grant applications. Drawing from our startup’s hard-earned experience in securing funding from the EIC Accelerator, with its failures and successes, Nick shared our takes on: 🔍 Choosing the right grant and navigating the timelines 📝 Writing a strong application and creating a compelling pitch deck 🎯 Preparing for the interview and pitching itself 💼 Managing funds post-approval We hope that the insights presented by all panelists today resonated with the startups and inspired them in their pursuit of funding goals! Excited to be in #London, the second biggest hub for #climatech, at Reset Connect, part of London Climate Action Week. Yesterday's highlights included a great presentation by Patrick Brothers from HolonIQ, where he presented European Top 200 Climate tech startups in 2024. Today I stayed with the panel on resetting the investment ecosystem, where Laura Citron OBE from London & Partners shared compelling practical ideas on how innovation directors at major companies can and should collaborate with the startups. Thank you TNW for the inspirational talks, new talented people to follow, and for uniting me with the right people of the same mindset! Like many at the conference, I couldn’t help but notice a general ‚fall-out-of-love‘ with #crypto & #blockchain topics, definitely, a massive cross-industry crush on #AI technologies, and #Climatech being like a friend-zoned type, who is of course there, but kinda still lacks attention 🤓 A major 'WOW!' flies to the location, which definitely falls into the ʼpleasureʼ, rather than ʼbusinessʼ category 🤩 I felt like in a recreational camp, with sun & grass, hammocks, and lots of new food choices to try (including vegan mushroom tacos and astonishing Moroccan msemmen pitas 🥘 ) And of course, the biggest pleasure is meeting people! It’s been wonderful to catch up with old friends and build foundations for new great relations.
