Dimensions: length - 3-4 m, height - 1.9-2.3 m, weight - 300-650 kg

Samotherium (''the beast of Samos'') is an extinct genus of Giraffidae from the Miocene and Pliocene of Eurasia and Africa. Samotherium had two ossicones on its head, and long legs. The ossicones usually pointed upward, and were curved backwards, with males having larger, more curved ossicones, though, in the Chinese species, S. sinense, the straight ossicones point laterally, not upwards. The genus is closely related to Shansitherium.

Ром, "жирафья" тема у тебя восхитительно получается! А не мог бы ты показать самые истоки жирафьей эволюции -ну там раннемиоценового Canthumeryx или еще более древнего Prodremotherium из олигоцена Евразии? Чтоб зримо было, как жирафы "вытянулись" к вершинам своей эволюции от оленеобразных карликов.

Вот так вот -живешь и думаешь, что чего-то там знаешь, а оказывается НЕ ЗНАЛ (НОНСЕНС!) даже точных данных САМОГО любимого палеореконструктора. Вот это я облажался - попутал Учителя с Евсеевым, видать, пора тщательнее репу почесать, перед тем как что-то выдать (на висках уже серебристый "полтинник" нарисовывается)! Ром, а Uchytel-это твой сетевой ник или правда фамилия? Я в этом деле "емельян несведущий"- вот и допустил казус с другим Романом Евсеевым, тоже как бы палеореконструктором, думал - то твои работы,только под другим дизайном, с похожими водяными знаками да и без отдельного сайта... А в деле палеофотореконструкции самый зачинатель и Учитель действительно Roman Uchytel - теперь железно дошло! Извиняюсь за свой тупняк и заблуждение...
