Yesterday, we had the honor of being part of Day 1 of the 6th Annual Fintech Conference at Sheraton Hotel, where MTN MoMo proudly sponsored the 2024 edition. The theme of this year’s conference, “Collaboration for Growth: Leveraging Partnerships and Collaboration to Drive Innovation and Growth in Uganda's Fintech Sector,” resonates so well with what we are doing here at MTN MoMo. In attendance was our CEO and FITSPA board member, Richard Yego and other key players in the fintech industry. We had engaging sessions on the future of fintech and how collaboration drives the wheel in Uganda's digital financial landscape. One of the highlights of the day came from our very own Simon kisabagire, Manager of BankTech, where he spoke about how partnerships are enhancing digital lending. With over 13 million monthly active subscribers on MTN MoMo, many of whom seek access to loans, insurance, and savings, it's through these strategic partnerships that we're able to meet their needs. In 2016, we partnered with NCBA Uganda to offer MoKash, a game-changing service for our customers. Since then, we’ve partnered with almost all banks for push and pull services, with over 14 licensed partnerships for digital loans and savings. These collaborations allow us to offer more than just loans, providing a range of financial solutions that empower our customers to grow and drive financing inclusion to the underbanked and underserved.
