Andy Sparkes, Managing Director for Local Government at The Access Group said ‘Our technology goes beyond responding to alarms. By learning individual routines, it detects changes that may require early support, helping care providers act before a crisis occurs. For all the Enterprising Care Business Leaders and hard-working Care Managers out there: I just came off a heart-breaking call with the owner of a mid-sized care provider in the South East of England. They are facing a 10% increase in costs in April stemming from the National Insurance rises and increases in National Minimum Wage. Their local authority has offered to support them with a 4% increase in rates. The 6% shortfall presents an existential crisis to her business. I explained that other care providers I am working with are using Access Technology Enabled Care to create an additional revenue stream to offset the impact of what will happen to their care businesses in April, which was well received.
