Yesterday evening we had a wonderful gathering, bringing together a group of our Peer Mentors in person and online. Connor Graham, one of our Peer Mentors and an Action Cancer Ambassador was recently awarded a British Empire Medal (BEM) in the Birthday Honours List 2024, for ‘Services to People with Skin Cancer’. 👏 Connor has generously donated the award to the team of Peer Mentors at Action Cancer in recognition for their joint effort in serving the people of Northern Ireland affected by a cancer diagnosis. ❤️ Thank you Connor for sharing this award with the wider team. We are so proud of you and of each and every one of our mentors who make a real difference to the lives of others. 🙏

📣We are absolutely delighted to announce that Action Cancer has secured a new corporate partnership with EY in Northern Ireland for the next two years! To kickstart the partnership, EY employees took on a challenge to collectively cycle the 260-mile distance of the Causeway Coastal Route on a static bike placed in the reception of EY Northern Ireland’s Belfast office earlier this week. 🚵♀️ The funds raised over the next two years will enable us to purchase new dermatoscopes, vital tools for enhancing our life-saving skin cancer detection service. This investment will also allow Action Cancer to offer an additional 300 skin cancer detection appointments, ensuring more people can access this critical service. 🙏 We look forward to working closely together with EY to support local people throughout Northern Ireland affected by cancer. ❤️ Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/eKiQybqw
