We are delighted to announce that our partnership with Turner & Townsend has now raised £1 million since it began in 2015 🥳 All money raised goes to our Education Fund program - providing vital support to young people in the UK through grants for school essentials, helping them to access the resources and opportunities they need to thrive ❤️ Turner & Townsend colleagues across the country have been trekking, running, baking, and auctioning their way to fundraising success. Recently, over 1,400 employees raised a whopping £50,000 at their Christmas party – a phenomenal effort! The need for support has never been greater and we are working with Turner & Townsend to reach our next goal: delivering 15,000 Education Fund grants. This shared mission aims to provide even more young people with the tools they need for a bright future. Patricia Moore, UK Managing Director at Turner & Townsend, said: “Reaching £1 million for Action for Children is a tremendous testament to the passion and dedication of our people. Education is the key to unlocking opportunities and breaking the cycle of poverty, and we are proud to support this vital work". #CorporateFundraising #ActionForChildren

Action for Children reposted this
Today, The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood is delighted to publish The Shaping Us Framework. The framework describes the social and emotional skills which start to develop in early childhood, and are important throughout our lives. It aims to improve awareness of and knowledge about these skills to inform action which can create a happier, healthier society. Social and emotional skills shape who we are, how we manage our emotions and thoughts, how we communicate with and relate to others, and how we explore the world around us. These skills help us to build positive, meaningful relationships which are at the heart of a healthy, happy life. https://lnkd.in/e_5BGuma
