SPOTLIGHT ON OUR MEMBER OF THE MONTH: PAVILION ON THE PARK, CYCLES4ALL! 🚲 Offering inclusive Cycling for all ages and abilities, you can go and enjoy a unique cycling experience with their accessible fleet. There are many accessible bikes to choose from, including tandems, wheelchair accessible cycles, trikes, recumbents, hand cycles and much more... there will be a bike for you! They also hold a monthly ‘cycles surgery’ if you own a bike that needs a bit of TLC. Set in beautiful parkland with miles of accessible cycling trails to follow. there is a bike for everyone. Join in with friends, family or with a group and enjoy 45 minutes of cycling for £5 per person (with a reduced rate for carer’s bike hire). Hot water bottles are a great way to keep warm during chilly nights, but it’s crucial to use them correctly to ensure safety. Check the daisy wheel imprinted on its neck or body to find the age: The central number indicates the year (e.g., ’22’ for 2022). The 12 segments around this number represent months. BE WINTER READY WITH SMALL CHANGES TO YOUR BOILER There are ways that you can heat your home most efficiently with only small changes to how you use your boiler. These actions can lead to a warm comfortable home while saving money on your energy bills. ✅ Review your thermostat settings, setting it for 18-21 degrees centigrade which is a comfortable temperature for most people. ✅ Set your hot water temperature on your boiler to 60 degrees centigrade. ✅ Programme your heating to turn on 30mins before getting up in the morning. Accurate meters readings are also important to make sure your are not paying too much for your energy if you are billed monthly or quarterly so either take meter readings and report them to your supplier each month or you can request a smart meter which will automatically report your usage to your supplier and you can see your usage in real time.
