Great attendance from partners across West Essex at the ABCD-E course delivered by Jamie and Louise from our Active Essex Foundation! We had some fantastic conversations about shifting from “doing for” to “doing with and by.” As well as exploring the power of asking “what if” instead of “what is” which forms really important conversations for Harlow Place Partnership expansion which aligns with the Place Based Expansion work set out by Sport England

A huge shout out to Suzanne Warren, who has gone from Essex All Together ambassador, to volunteer coach to a Peer Support Worker at Sport for Confidence CIC ! Living with a disability, Suzanne has never let obstacles stop her. She continues to be a game-changer, supporting people facing significant challenges in accessing sport, volunteering and employment opportunities in our sector. Well done Suzanne!

On #WorldMentalHealthDay , we want to spotlight the message of #NoMindLeftBehind! Within our workplaces, support systems and open conversations can create a positive environment to boosts the wellbeing of colleagues and employees. Understanding different conditions as well as building in wellness activities into the working week can be a catalyst for nurturing mental wellbeing. We hope across the county there are many Tea & Talk sessions taking place that builds on this idea! Follow the guide for supporting mental health at work here: https://lnkd.in/e6Ek_wbe

Join us during the NSPCC CPSU's Keeping Your Child Safe in Sport Week to find out how you can contribute to safeguarding in children's sports clubs, organisations and activities. We want to encourage parents' to be their child's number one fan and supporter, offering them support and educating them in what makes a safe environment for sport. This in turn gives children the confidence to recognise safe and unsafe environments. Find out more here and get involved with their range of activities and guidance for parents : https://lnkd.in/e3xG2M8H
