Great attendance from partners across West Essex at the ABCD-E course delivered by Jamie and Louise from our Active Essex Foundation! We had some fantastic conversations about shifting from “doing for” to “doing with and by.” As well as exploring the power of asking “what if” instead of “what is” which forms really important conversations for Harlow Place Partnership expansion which aligns with the Place Based Expansion work set out by Sport England

The Active Essex Foundation and their Sports and Life Skills Project have had a huge year for engaging with young people and building their LTO network! Providing activity and mentoring for vulnerable young people to feel supported and heard is at the forefront of delivery and summarising the development of the project has highlighted some great achievements! A huge shout out to Suzanne Warren, who has gone from Essex All Together ambassador, to volunteer coach to a Peer Support Worker at Sport for Confidence CIC ! Living with a disability, Suzanne has never let obstacles stop her. She continues to be a game-changer, supporting people facing significant challenges in accessing sport, volunteering and employment opportunities in our sector. Well done Suzanne!

On #WorldMentalHealthDay , we want to spotlight the message of #NoMindLeftBehind! Within our workplaces, support systems and open conversations can create a positive environment to boosts the wellbeing of colleagues and employees. Understanding different conditions as well as building in wellness activities into the working week can be a catalyst for nurturing mental wellbeing. We're pleased to announce the relaunch of our Active Travel Toolkit as part of the #MoveWithUs campaign 🌍 Supported by Essex County Council and Safer Greener Healthier, this comprehensive toolkit provides schools with the resources to actively promote sustainable travel options among pupils and families, encouraging more walking, cycling, and scooting to school. With a variety of initiatives, events, competitions, and practical strategies, schools will be equipped to drive positive change. By supporting active travel, we aim to advance our vision of a safer, greener, and healthier Essex, aligned with our commitment to sustainability and community well-being.
