Becky Hill "Believe Me Now" UK/IE Arena Tour FOH engineer Anna Dahlin and I have been discussing this for what seems like years now, so it was great to be asked by to step aboard as System Engineer for this short but completely sold-out arena run. I specified an L-Acoustics K1/K2 system with KS28 subs and A-series fills, driven over redundant AVB from a DirectOut GmbH Prodigy.MP, and supplemented by a K2 delay system for the larger arenas. Special thanks to Richard Nicholson at Adlib for supplying the system and a crew of world class techs (MARCI MEZEI, Marc Peers and Louis Grogan)

After a five-year hiatus, Janelle Monáe made a triumphant return to Europe in the summer of 2024, reconnecting with the Adlib team for a diverse run of shows. The tour showcased a mixture of festival appearances, support slots for Coldplay's summer stadium tour, and headline performances in London, Manchester, and Paris. A highlight of the tour was an extraordinary three-night residency at one of the UK's most exciting new venues, Aviva Studios in Manchester. The partnership between Adlib and Monáe, which began in 2010, continued to flourish as the team provided comprehensive technical production services for the 10-time GRAMMY®-nominated singer, songwriter, producer, performer, actor, and fashion icon throughout the UK and Europe. This long-standing relationship allowed Adlib to tailor their support to the unique requirements of each venue on the tour. Given the varied nature of the performances, Adlib demonstrated remarkable versatility in their approach. They provided a range of packages that could be scaled up or down based on the specific needs of each venue where Monáe performed. The core of the touring package included Front of House (FOH) and Monitor control systems, Wireless Microphone Systems, In-Ear Monitoring Systems, and Lighting Control. Adlib expanded its offering for headline shows to include additional audio, lighting, and video components, seamlessly complementing existing in-house flown systems. At the start of October, we concluded the European leg of Aurora's 'What Happened to the Heart?' world tour. Accompanying the Norwegian singer-songwriter, we visited some of the most iconic venues in many renowned cities across the continent. The three-week tour saw Adlib supply a CODA Audio International loudspeaker system and video wall for venues ranging from intimate clubs in Milan and Paris to large arenas in Prague and Kraków, scaling the systems up and down, depending on the venue's size. We extend our thanks to Nick Green and Dave Murphy and our exceptional crew for their contributions in delivering another series of fantastic live music experiences across the UK and Europe. Over the last two days, we've enjoyed exhibiting at CRE 2024 at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes. It was a great opportunity to chat with attendees about the latest church AV solutions and answer the most common questions regarding technology implementation in houses of worship.
