Rigorous and Cost-Effective Soil Carbon Measurement at Scale.
About us
Agricarbon provides rigorous and affordable soil carbon testing at scale, throughout the UK and Europe. We specialise in measuring soil organic carbon over large areas of farmland and other soils. We follow a globally respected scientific protocol for sampling and analysis, but use mechanisation, automation, and economies of scale to do so at a very low cost. Our processing facility is capable of analysing thousands of samples each week, providing businesses, farmers, and landowners with a unique view of soil carbon stock.

It's almost time .... 🇺🇸 🇨🇦 🇲🇽 At the upcoming Regenerative Agriculture Series' Summit North America, the Agricarbon team will officially launch our North American services. It seems like only yesterday when the first trials began extracting soil cores. And to get here, we've made some amazing new hires who have already taken the company to new heights. Particularly, the team who have built our automated soil carbon analysis laboratory in Piedmont, South Carolina. We're proud to say that is up and running smoothly. Christopher Lidgett is on hand to answer any questions you may have about our soil carbon measurement services in North America. Please connect with him on LinkedIn and say hi. 👋 Otherwise, watch this space - more to come! #soilcarbon #agriculture #soilhealth #naturalresources #farming

Well, this was an unexpected thrill, presenting Agricarbon to one of my all time climate heroes. The event marked five years since His Royal Majesty founded the Sustainable Markets Initiative, which facilitates action between world leaders and global CEOs to position sustainability at the heart of global value creation. The event was amazing; talk about broadening horizons! To mis-quote Jack Welch: “if you aren’t the least smart person in the room, you are in the wrong room.” I was further outside my comfort zone than I’ve been in years, and it felt great. My highlights: 🌿 “Invest in your country’s Natural Resources”. I loved this as a compelling message on the value of nature and the environment, attracting even climate sceptics into nature restoration and sustainability funds. 🌿 Climate action at 35,000 feet. I saw actions emerge to effect systemic change in food production and farming; a refreshing perspective compared to our roller-coaster experience of working on the front line of climate tech. 🌿 Making regenerative agriculture investable. A plan was hatched to turn sustainable cocoa into an investable product – on a grand scale. Applying durable offtake, blended finance and supply chain cooperation, begins to bridge the gap between regenerative pilots and transitioning half a billion farms around the world. I’d love more CPG CEOs to join the conversation. 🌿 Data will replace certification. “In a world of AI, it’s even more important that data is correct, current and complete” (thanks Murat Sönmez). Then, laborious certification processes can be replaced by smart commodities tracked through the supply chain. 🌿 The Ministry for the Future. A fictional future history of earth by my favourite author – Kim Stanley Robinson – has been brought to life by an interdisciplinary network of academics, policymakers and corporate leaders at Oxford University. Their work stimulates moral imagination; connects the dots; and galvanises urgent, practical responses to climate and environmental crises. (https://lnkd.in/evYvj7FE) Quote of the event: “To the next CEO who says they can’t turn their business green, I say ‘I know you can’t. So move aside for someone who can’” (thank you Fortescue Zero). Thank you for the opportunity, Laura Ward and the Barclays team, for the incredible support and care you took to help us get to, set up and navigate the event, and of course for creating the opportunity to meet one of my lifelong heroes, HRH! #SMITERRACARTA, #BarclaysClimateVentures

The key to carbon farming? Standards and expertise you can trust. At this year’s European Carbon Farming Summit, and following their recent launch of The Carbon Farming Program, BASF Agricultural Solutions hosted a session on setting the standard. Richard Corden highlighted the critical role of measurement, verification, and reporting. Here, he shows the partners BASF uses to provide the required expertise and standards. Our scientifically rigorous soil organic carbon measurement aligns with global carbon accounting protocols (Verra) and delivers accurate data for calculating, reporting, and verification (Regrow Ag and SustainCERT). Credibility in carbon farming depends on precise data. ... and that's what we provide: robust measurement so companies like BASF can achieve their intended impact. #CarbonFarming #SoilCarbon #SustainableAgriculture #CarbonMarkets #MRV
