🙌 Aide Health is one of 24 companies selected for the Google for Startups Growth Academy: AI for Health programme. We're thrilled to be part of the 2024 cohort advancing healthcare with AI. People living with chronic disease spend 0.01% of their time with the healthcare system. Three years ago, we saw conversational AI as the only way to support people at scale 100% of the time — having the interactions that patients and clinicians want and need to have that resources don't enable. Our technology has been built on Google infrastructure from the beginning, and we're excited to have broader access to the exceptional minds and latest LLM capability from Google to help achieve our mission. Aide Health has been named as a finalist for the London region at the 2024 StartUp Awards in the Healthtech & Medtech category. "900,000 businesses were founded in the UK in 2023. The startups in this year's shortlist have created nearly 6,000 new jobs since they were established and generated annual sales of £480 million." Professor Nick Barber, Aide Health's Head of Clinical Outcomes and presenter of the BBC series 'Victorian Pharmacy' is hosting a talk at The Old Operating Theatre Museum in London on January 25th. "At the start of Victoria’s reign in 1836, the understanding of illness had not changed in over 2000 years. By her death in 1901, scientific approaches had completely changed our knowledge of illness and its treatments. Pharmacists were at the heart of applying scientific methods to create medicines for the people – most of whom could not afford doctors. Nick Barber, Emeritus Professor at UCL School of Pharmacy, will take you through the momentous six decades of change that saw the professionalisation of pharmacy, the move from herbal to more chemical products and to the start of the pharmaceutical industry."
