    Handover day with the client and stakeholders today. Not a single snag on our work! Great to see the scaffold coming down so that the residents can enjoy their balconies again! The AJ Management Group Ltd site team have done fantastic on this project! On to the next ones!

    We understand that skips can be disruptive to residents, such as taking up valuable space, noise when loading and unloading and it can entice undesirables to either fly tip their personal waste or rummage for items of value. Therefore, at AJ Management Group we always plan to minimise the impact on the surrounding community and adopting a ‘no skip policy’ is one of the many ways we do this. We safely stock pile the uplifted decking and cladding within the confines of our site compound where it is sorted and de-nailed. We then free issue this material to a group of local businesses for upcycling / recycling. Good timber is dried, planed and used for hard wood flooring, smaller offcuts are shared among bespoke furniture makers and anything left over is distributed to local homeowners who use incinerators as a source of heating. This sustainable approach not only reduces waste on site, but also contributes to the circular economy and minimises the environmental impact of our operations. By repurposing materials that would otherwise be discarded, we are able to provide cheaper energy solutions and promote a greener way of living. It is a win-win situation for both our company and the community.

  • We are retrofitting cavity barriers on this block of flats in London. The first stage is now complete which included breaking out the floor, removing bulkheads and plasterboard returns to install the necessary bracketry. We have issued our report to enable the second stage to commence. Once we have the fire engineer proposed details we will install the vertical cavity barriers from inside the property and remove the spandrel cladding pannels with a mewp to install the horizontal barriers at slab level. Then it’s time to finish the associated builders works so our client can allow the residents to move back in.
