Bringing clean water, sanitation and education to coffee-growing communities across the world.
About us
Project Waterfall is the charity of choice for the coffee industry, aiming to end the water crisis in our lifetime. 785 million people around the world don’t have access to clean water. The majority live in isolated, rural areas – the same areas growing our coffee. It’s wrong that while we enjoy the purest filtered water in our coffee, the communities at the end of its supply chain face a water crisis. Access to clean water changes everything. Child mortality rates drop. Girls can spend more time in school. Women can start their own businesses. And dignity is restored to communities. We work to bring clean water, sanitation and education to coffee-growing communities across the world. Since 2011, we've raised over £1.5 million and changed more than 80,000 lives in Nicaragua, Tanzania, Rwanda, Vietnam, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia.

Rwanda, often referred to as the "Land of a Thousand Hills," is not only known for its breath-taking landscapes but also for its exceptional coffee. However, Rwandan farmers are often faced with barriers of inadequate access to clean water and sanitation. This year UK Coffee Week is raising funds for the Accelerating Access project in Rwanda, led by WaterAid. The funds will will be supporting the final year of this project, helping reach the target of 46,845 people with clean water in the region. There has already been key milestones met including over 35,000 people provided with reliable clean water, 23 public taps constructed, and 187,188 people reached with key hygiene messages. Information how you can support this crucial work and get involved as a sponsor or participant in UK Coffee Week can be found in the blog! https://lnkd.in/eJmsPWuY
