When we work with developers, our designs must attract buyers, make headlines and sell. Sell fast. For the best possible price. With all FF&E. That's the goal each time. So we listen to our developers. Take the time to understand their vision. Take the time to understand their buyers. It’s a collaborative, deep-dive approach that creates beautiful, one-of-a-kind homes – homes buyers want. A big shoutout to the talented team behind The OWO and Lancer Square. Together, we designed, launched and sold some truly outstanding property.

About us
Since starting Angel O’Donnell in 2018, we’ve become one of the UK’s most critically acclaimed interior design studios. On top of our awards success – which includes the coveted Overall Winner trophy at the Society of British and International Design 2021 – we’ve earned a reputation for thoughtful discretion, friendly collaboration and pin-sharp detailing, qualities our clients prize dearly. From heritage properties to contemporary new builds, recent projects include a Cubist-inspired villa on the Greek island of Paros, two luxury apartments in The Corniche, two penthouses in One St. John’s Wood and a majestic apartment in the ground-breaking The OWO Residences by Raffles. Led by its co-founders, Richard Angel and Ed O’Donnell, the studio approaches every brief with fresh eyes, unhampered by a signature style. This frees us to incorporate our clients’ individual personalities, aesthetic tastes, and practical requirements into our schemes. No one-size-fits-all process. No cookie-cutter style. Just beautiful, bespoke designs impeccably delivered.

Another archive favourite, this time moving from the pale to the pigmented. At Lancer Square, Kensington, we treated a large lateral apartment to a melting pot of colours, patterns and materials. Mocha brown, cherry red, soft peach, cool pistachio – hues that sound good enough to eat. The mix of textures and complex repeat patterns absorb and reflect light in different ways, creating a living, breathing, lustrous space from sunrise to sunset.

A trip down memory lane takes us to our very first project at The OWO Residences by Raffles. Here we put the plush into pale with impeccable craftsmanship and lots of lovely details: - Handmade Murano-glass pendants in the hallway - Carmine-tipped bolster cushions in the bedroom - Plaster wall lights opposite the bed, hand-finished to textural perfection. These things bring us so much joy. We hope they do the same for you too!

Richard tells the Evening Standard Homes & Property, "Buyers are time-poor. You need to really be able to show people how they can live." He believes home staging is the most persuasive way to do it - and he'd be right. For some, home staging is a bit of a dark art. The perceived mysteries seem to spring from not knowing how much time, money and effort to put into it. Or, indeed, how to stage in a way that will capture buyers’ hearts. But stage you must if you want to raise the perceived value of your home – and sell it in record time! The key is to make your property toothbrush ready. That means leaving nothing to the imagination, so that all a buyer needs to think about when moving in is their toiletry bag and clothes. This requires meticulous attention to detail and all the touchy-feely things that make a house a home: generous sofas, large rugs, big cushions, strong art, and a warmly inviting colour scheme. A gorgeous, handcrafted coffee table – especially one that comprises unusual materials and finishes – is a real showstopper. It can make a room and set the tone for an entire scheme. Corten steel, rough-hewn stone, woven rattan, hand-mixed resin and acrylic – there are so many wonderful creations out there. Here are a few of our favourites...

The spirals of nautilus shells, the radial symmetry of snowflakes, the concentric rings of trees – shapes are everywhere in nature, which is why they work so well in interiors. The more you have, the more balanced and visually enticing your design scheme will be. We’ve cherrypicked three shape-filled designs of ours – contemporary, pared back looks that mix sharp geometric forms with soft meandering lines to great effect. We hope you like them 😍

Powder rooms have become the space of choice for creative expression. Quality materials play a big part in the makeover, but so too do inventiveness and less-than-ordinary schemes. At The OWO Residences, we covered the walls in a gorgeous, marbleised print. Its bright colours, mesmeric swirls and complex repeat pattern really pack a punch, especially in such a compact space. Styling is the final bit of magic that turns a well-designed scheme into a warmly inviting home. Books, candles, curios, plump succulents, hand thrown vases and expressive artwork – things that look, feel and smell great on shelves, consoles and tables are a must. The key is not to over style. Colour-coordinated spines, blousy flower arrangements, cafetiéres primly perched on trays – these forced touches feel more amateur stage set than characterful home. So don’t fret over creating what you think will be an Insta-worthy look. Instead, surround yourself with the things you love, edit out a few items here and there to create space and, chances are, you’ll nail a naturally awesome look.

We're in COOL HUNTING talking about the inspirations behind our latest show residence at The OWO. As soon as we walked round what was to become our sixth OWO project, we knew the direction we wanted to go in. With its large rooms and lofty ceilings, ‘restrained refinement’ became our guiding principle – with meticulous detailing and craftsmanship at the heart of everything we created. In fact, around 80% of the furniture was designed in-house and made by artisans within a 20-mile radius of the building. The result is a calming, grownup space that doesn’t have to shout to be noticed. Click https://shorturl.at/HDceG to learn about the many bespoke features made for this residence.
