🚧 Exciting Progress at Apollo's New Distribution Centre 🚧 We’re thrilled to share that construction and fit-out work is well underway at our new Distribution Centre. 🌍 Sustainability First With solar panel roofing and EV charging stations, our facility is a major step in Apollo’s Sustainability Journey. These green upgrades will help us reduce our carbon footprint. 📦 Double the Dispatch Space Our new DC expands dispatch space from 20,700 sq ft to 40,300 sq ft! This means we can hold more stock and reduce lead times, providing quicker deliveries for our customers both in the UK and internationally. 🤖 Boosting Production We’re increasing Surface Mount capacity by 30%, taking us from 3 to 4 lines. This will allow us to deliver even more high-quality products and meet growing demand. 🚛 Faster, Smarter Despatch New system improvements will streamline our put-away, pick, and pack processes, reducing paperwork and ensuring order accuracy. Get ready for faster, more efficient service! 📦 Increased Stock Holding With 2,300 new pallet spaces and 400 new storage locations, we’re boosting stock availability on 80% of our products. 🔧 Distribution Centre Progress Report 🔧 Our Distribution Centre transformation is in full swing, and we’ve made some big strides this month! Check out the latest updates: 🏗️ Office and Canteen Construction Last week, we delivered materials to build noise-resistant walls for the offices and canteen. With 200 hours of labour scheduled, we’re on track to have these spaces built within two weeks. 💡 Electrical Installations We’ve already laid down 7,300 meters of data cabling in the warehouse (that’s over 7 km!), and there's more to come for the office and canteen areas. We’re also gearing up to install mains electrical cables, which will be another significant milestone. 📦 Racking Installation The racking company is working at full speed, with 50% of the racking already in place. By the end of this week, the installation will be complete, and the warehouse is really starting to take shape, resembling a fully functioning space. ♻️ Sustainability We’re proud to say that 100% of the waste from the site is recycled. We’re committed to keeping this build as eco-friendly as possible! ☕ Keeping the Team Energised It’s all about the numbers—so far, the team has powered through 600 tea bags and 1.2kg of coffee over 152 man-days on site.
