Today we are proud to join International Women's Day 2025 in the global movement for gender equality and the call to #AccelerateAction. Health is essential to women's ability to fully participate in society. Despite being half of the global population, women’s health issues lack sufficient attention, funding, and research. By prioritising women's health and using innovative technology, we can close this gap and improve care for women worldwide. This International Women’s Day let’s #AccelerateAction for women’s health because when women thrive, we all thrive. #WomenInHalma #IWD2025 #WomensHistoryMonth #diversity #equity #inclusion

We’re delighted to announce that Carole Cran is appointed as Halma’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO), succeeding Steve Gunning on 1 April 2025. This follows Steve’s decision to retire from Halma. Steve will continue as CFO until 31 March 2025, with Carole appointed as CFO Designate with immediate effect. Carole brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles, as well as a clear understanding of Halma’s Sustainable Growth Model, having been a non-executive director of Halma and Chair of the Audit Committee since 2016. She was most recently CFO of Forth Ports Limited, and prior to that she was CFO of Aggreko plc. Steve was appointed as a highly experienced CFO to support the business through Marc Ronchetti’s transition to CEO, as well as setting up the finance function for continued growth. With these priorities completed, Steve has decided that now is the right time to step back from his executive career. Find out more about the appointment here: https://lnkd.in/em3S-J5v

A great example of how one of Halma's companies is making a difference. PeriGen's mission is to protect mums and babies. Introducing its technology to the clinical team at Area 25 made such a difference, that in three years they reduced neonatal deaths by 82%. Babies such as Justice are born healthy due to the quick notification of potential complications that PeriGen's AI technology sends to the medical staff. Well done to everyone at PeriGen Texas Children's Hospital and the amazing clinical team at Area 25!
Exciting news! PeriGen is featured in The Guardian today! ➡️ Read the story here: https://lnkd.in/djPezB3g The article highlights how our AI-powered technology, in partnership with Malawi’s Ministry of Health and Texas Children's Hospital, has helped achieve an 82% reduction in neonatal fatalities over three years at the Area 25 Health Centre in Lilongwe, Malawi. A heartfelt thank you to Caroline Kimeu for bringing this important story to light and to Dr. chikondi chiweza, Dr. Jeffrey Wilkinson, and the incredible team dedicated to improving outcomes for mothers and babies. Special gratitude to Ellen Kaphamtengo for courageously sharing her story.
