Last night, we had the privilege of attending the inclusion in Awards, powered by WiHTL & Diversity in Retail, where our women’s Employee Resource Group, Empower, was proudly nominated for Most Impactful ERG in the Hospitality, Travel, and Leisure sector. While we didn’t take home the award this time (kudos to TUI UK&I for their win!), being recognised alongside such inspiring organisations was a true honour. This nomination reflects the dedication of our team to championing initiatives that support women both within our organisation and across our industry. With 53% of women represented on our UK board, we are committed to building an inclusive and empowering community. Our incredible team at Warner Bros. Studio Tour London conjured up this spectacular event for the Association of Leading Visitor Attractions, and it was as spellbinding as they come. No detail was spared for our guests who, from the moment they arrived, were immersed in the magic of the wizarding world. The evening began with a champagne reception and delectable canapés, setting the stage for an unforgettable night. Guests continued into the Hogwarts Great Hall, where they enjoyed a meticulously curated dinner by By Word of Mouth UK before moving onto Platform 9 3/4, where our pastry chefs created charming desserts that included the finest of touches – miniature mandrakes, each with its own unique face. The enchantment didn’t end there! The following morning, attendees were treated to a breakfast and lunch of dreams, ensuring the magic lingered just a little longer ✨. We are incredibly proud of our dedicated team who brought this event to life with unmatched attention to detail and exceptional service. Such hard work and passion are what our teams are all about, and we love to see it as much as our guests enjoy it. A huge shout out to all involved for making this event so special. This time last week, we had the honour of attending the incredible Trafalgar Day Parade by the Sea Cadets. Being invited to this national event, which provides an opportunity for hundreds of Sea Cadets to demonstrate their skills and experience to the public in Trafalgar Square, was truly rewarding. In recognition of #WorldMenopauseDay, our Empower UK Employee Resource Group hosted an insightful event focused on raising awareness and fostering open, honest conversations about menopause. With 57% of our workforce and 53% of our operating board being women, Aramark UK & Offshore is dedicated to creating safe spaces for everyone to share their experiences and receive support. The event was opened by our chair, Janet Wigley Clarabut alongside Victoria Joseph and Diane Walker talking about why communities such as Empower still exist today. It featured personal stories from our Chef Manager Jacqueline Guarasci/Lowe and her regional leader, Samantha Rain, who emphasised the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding menopause. We also heard from Cathy Moseley, founder and CEO of Boundless Snacks, who shared practical tips on navigating menopause and highlighted the power of tuning into your gut to support this transition. A huge thank you to Sarah Forsberg (Brown) and Victoria Joseph for all their help in organising this fantastic event. This is in recognition of our ongoing #WipeOutWaste campaign. Focused on the principles of “reduce, reuse, and recycle,” this campaign targets key areas where waste is most prevalent, including food waste, recycling, surplus food management, and packaging. I was pleasantly surprised to walk into Fort Royal at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and discover the Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning in full swing, especially fitting as it coincided with World Mental Health Day! 🍰☕ It was such a wonderful opportunity not only to raise funds for a fantastic cause but also to remind ourselves how important it is to take a little time out for self-care. After all, coping with life’s challenges can weigh heavily on our mental health. With World Mental Health Day in mind, it was the perfect moment to #Take15 — grab a delicious coffee from Costa Coffee, savor a slice of cake, and enjoy a relaxed chat with friends and colleagues. Just taking 15 minutes to step back from our busy lives can really boost our mental well-being. Whether it’s sharing a laugh over coffee or simply taking a moment to breathe, these small breaks help us reconnect and recharge, emphasizing that mental health truly matters.
