This Financial Times article does a fantastic job of explaining Lloyd's excellent half-year results in the context of current political and economic changes. Reporting the best #underwriting conditions since 2007, the #insurance market announced a pre-tax profit of £4.9bn for the first half of the year – up from £3.9bn in the first half of 2023 – with the combined ratio improving from 85.2% to 83.7%.
